Lots of beautiful art work makes for this to be a delightful place to stop for a great cup of coffee. the owner is pretty unique and lends a twist to this tranquil place

On our way from Fredericksburg through Johnson City we made our third attempt to go into this coffee/gift shop (the other times it was closed). We pulled our RV in front just to check to see if they were open. I was barely out of the coach before the only rude person I met in Texas accosted me about our... More

We stopped in on a rainy afternoon for tea and "Mexican hot chocolate." The self-proclaimed "Grumpy Barista" was perfectly pleasant to us. He answered a few questions about the town, asked if I'd like marshmallows in the hot chocolate. The place is attached to a small shop featuring local art, handicrafts, and ironwork which made for some nice browsing. The... More

We know the shtick of the barrista is to be grumpy but he came across more rude than anything else. We ordered coffee and hot chocolate and asked if they recommended anyplace nearby for breakfast, they said no but we could go to a Mexican restaurant if we wanted. We found out later one block away was a delicious place... More

Cute and charming store and coffee shop. Welcome break and good coffee served by the "Grumpy" barista.

This is definitely not a good place save your money and find another place. I walked in and there were about 3 people in front of me which usually would only take maybe 10 minutes to take their orders and make the drinks but no this took 35 minutes. Once I finally got up their to order two drinks and... More

The coffee being regular Starbucks variety at the same high or even higher price, this place's signature feature is its rude owner. I guess the "rude barista" sign is a way to prep the customers in jest and lower their expectations of good manners. But the reality is still worse. He would make rude condescending comments as icebreakers and even... More

Really good coffee at a fraction of the cost at the big boxes. Big inventory of high-quality souvenirs very tastefully presented.

I am sad to say I almost didn't go in here because of the reviews warning about rudeness. What a darn shame it would've been if I had listened! Luckily my coffee craving won out. I didn't find the "grumpy barista" to be grumpy at all. I found him delightful! I guess some people mistake having a personality for being... More

This cozy little coffee shop is located in an antique/decor store. Great coffee selection. Tasty for sure. The barista is known at the "grumpy barista" but he is so amazing...which a touch of gruffness. A great place to stop and sip and shop!
