Good place! Some variations on the "standard Boston menu," the hummus and pita chip appetizer is good, and the portobello burger is really great. The fish and chips is good, but more for the chips and slaw than the fish itself. The great service makes this a solid four star option in the neighborhood.

Not bad.....not overly exciting.....had to come here for the area for it was close to where we were visiting. Mother's day every thing decent was booked in advance and we did not decide to come into the city till the night before. Had the catfish sandwich. Not bad for catfish. Most of the other items on the menu were for... More

Plough and Stars is an old school Cambridge establishment. If you go back far enough, you can even find it mentioned in some of Phillip K Dicks earliest work. That being said, the bar has stood the test of time thanks to good service, a great restaurant, and good location. Located halfway between harvard and central, the location is eminently... More

I have been here a few times to play gigs with my band. The Plough and Stars is a great, small music venue in Cambridge. This small space allows you to get drinks, hang out with friends, and to have a more intimate, engaging experience with the crowd, or with the musicians if you are part of the crowd. I... More

When in the Boston area on St. Patrick's Day, obviously you have to seek out an Irish bar. This is one worth visiting: food better than pub grub, excellent selection of beers on tap, friendly patrons (the place gets packed), and staff with nice Irish accents. Jolly atmosphere. Nicely situated halfway between Harvard and MIT.

People will tell you how great this was when Bonnie Raitt played here and blah blah blah. All true of course, but times change. They still pour a great Guinness and they book great music. In particular you want to check out Marc Pinansky, Bad Art, and Jeremy Lyons all who play there often, but really they never have bad... More

Visited to try and catch some live music but there way too early. The bar was fantastic atmosphere with proper locals who meet there regularly and are friendly.

The problem with eating here is the use of Windex spray to clean tables. The awful chemical smell makes it impossible to enjoy a drink or meal.
