This is a great spot for made to order sandwiches, especially if you have special dietary needs. The grilled cheese with bacon and tomato is excellent; pay extra for the sweet potato chips. Unfortunately, like so many Cambridge restaurants, the dining space is very limited and you feel like you're fighting for a table.

We visited on a sleepy Sunday morning and most things were closed except this cafe. It had great tea and a small but good selection of pastries and hot breakfast options. We tried the egg with avocado and egg and bacon on English muffins. Delicious!

Very sweet little nook that quickly fills up. A great place on campus to study. Coffee is strong but a little bitter, and their English muffins are to die for!

I used to visit this place all the time thanks to their awesome toasted sandwiches. Lately though, it's totally missed the mark. The baked items have been stale (the banana bread I had today tasted like it was baked a week ago), the macarons are like little rocks, and staff talk about getting drunk while you stand awkwardly in the... One of the people with us is a coffee geek (he imports coffee from overseas and does all kinds of brewing techniques), and he said that their espresso was the best coffee he had ever tasted. They also had a guest brew from a place in Portland, Maine, which was good too. We also had the chicken sandwich and their... More

This is a very popular crowded restaurant near the Harvard campus. It needs a good restaurant organizer! At ten am, I stood in line and waited each time to place order, to get cappuccino, to get breakfast sandwich, then had to walk through crowd to get a seat, then had to walk to another part of restaurant to get napkins... We had breakfast here twice on our trip to Cambridge. The service was fast, lots of options and the food was good. They have outside seating which we took advantage of.

There are just not that many places to have breakfast, lunch or a quick coffee near Harvard. This is one of the few. The food is good -- after a long, noisy, shouting barista kept barking names, we received the tiniest egg/croissant sandwich. Delish but crazy prices. Very loud, communal seating. What can you do -- nowhere else to eat!

This place has a good variety of coffees. Tried the cappuccino and it was really good. Also tried the breakfast sandwich ( egg and cheese on English muffin) not so impressed. Their menu board also offered baked good and sandwiches.

I recently stayed in Cambridge and my hotel on Brattle Square did not serve breakfast and I stumbled on Crema Cafe. I had their fruit cup, chocolate croissant and yogurt parfait. There was a steady stream of customers and the food and service was as good as, if not better than Starbucks. While I did not have any coffee, I... More
