So when I moved to Fort Payne 23 years ago, this is the place that I had breakfast, lunch and dinner when in town. Best pulled pork sandwich, a go to any day you are hungry. The chicken tenders are amazing, only breast tenderloins are battered and fried into amazingly tasty morsels. The bonus if you like fried potatoes, you... More

Came for the Jo Jo's, was not all that impressed. Tasted more liked fried tomatoes than potato's. BBQ was on the dry side and the sauce was a strong vinegar based sauce.

Traveling through. Looked up restaurants in Ft. Payne. The BBQ Restaurant came up as one the places to eat in Alabama before you die. Ok. I put the address in the gps. Arrived about 12:30 on a Thursday. Hungry! Go in and the guy at the counter took our order. Helpful, told us about their go go"s. What? Ordered BBQ... More

Whenever I come into Ft Payne I love coming here! This place is very small, maybe will seat 20-25 people? Order at counter, and have a seat and wait. All I have had from here is the smoked pork, and the JoJo's. The meat is always perfectly smoked! JoJo's are sliced potatoes (very thinly sliced medallions) and they are battered... More

When we moved to Fort Payne over 30 years ago, this was the only BBQ restaurant in the area. Since then several have opened but the BBQ Place is still one of the best and the only one to serve JoJo's.

This is an order at the counter place no frills eatery. Turkey salad was fresh with plenty of turkey. Unsweet tea was not very fresh but OK. Wait on yourself and bus your own table.

Holy Cow, or pig in this case. It's the best BBQ around. Plus its the best Sauce, Chicken Fingers, Jo-Jo's ( thin Fried Potatoes), and chicken sauce in the WORLD. Friendly and not fast food. A hometown favorite. When I die, bury me with a gallon of chicken sauce. It's that good.

Excellent barbecue and they have some of the best chicken fingers around. The barbecue salad is good to go and they have a friendly staff. One of the better barbecue restaurants around.

This place has been the best BUT no more. Limited menu, and very often they won't even have what is on the menu. They offer no apology for their short comings. Going inside you will see that yes the building is somewhat old but it is nasty, run down and not what it use to be. The JO-JO's are a... More
