I had a very delicious bowl of Lobster soup And lots of yummy bread To dip in it. My kids had a huge slice of cake And a pancake. 2000ISK for soup, bread And coffee. Soup is probably big enough To share. It was nice To be on The harbour.

Lobster soup is highly recommended. Tea and coffee is included in the price and you can help yourself to bread and butter. Food was delicious and the ladies serving were lovely and friendly! Highly recommended or lunch if you are at the Blue Lagoon in the morning!

This unassuming little yellow cafe hides quietly on the harbour front at Grindavik. Open the door and its warmth and charm will draw you in at once. The mushroom soup was out of this world - a huge warming bowl rich in flavour and happiness with chunks of tasty bread and real butter. The lobster soup was equally delicious and... More

Arriving in Grindavik on a rainy, cold & blustery afternoon we were in need of a hot drink and a snack. We found the yellow fronted Bryggjan a short walk from our hotel. Frequented by locals & eccentric in it's fishing & football memorabilia, the vegetable soup & yummy bread did the trick. Again, a warm welcome by the Icelandic... More

Stopped here on our Geoiceland tour of Reykjanes with Oscar. This small seafood diner overlooks a fishing village lagoon leading to the ocean. The highlight for lunch is the lobster bisque with chunks of fresh lobster. They also had cream of mushroom for non seafooders.

We had the fisherman's breakfast after our flight in and before our trip to Blue Lagoon. The meal was delicious with pickled herring, smoked salmon, vegetables, rye bread and yogurt. Christian spent a lot of time with us telling us history and myths of the area. The restaurant was decorated with pictures and memorabilia from the fishing industry (and a... More

Lovely waitress and the most amazing lobster soup in the world! A little pricy but still definitely worth it, very typical

Great, tiny restaurant serving all-you-can-eat lobster bisque and bread (plus coffee!). Staff was super friendly. We ended up sitting with locals who invited us to their table since no other tables were available inside. Great experience! If you're in the area (it's close to the Blue Lagoon) definitely check this place out.

4 adults split two fisherman breakfast platters which was a sampling of all great food from Iceland: Skyyr, Pickled Herring, Smoked Salmon, homemade Rye Bread (made in the ground from geothermal heat) and a sandwich assortment to go along with all the bread! Probably one of my favorite meals! Coffee and tea warmed us up as well! Wish we could... More

We arrived in Iceland very early, 4:30 AM, and had plans to drive to this cafe for breakfast. Our group had heard of this cafe from friends, and we were not disappointed. It is located within a larger building which is part of the active fishing industry on which this town was built, starting with Viking settlements in 934 CE... More
