Ask anyone in Springfield what the best place to get a horseshoe is at and 99.9999999% of the time they'll tell you D'arcy's. If you've never heard of a horseshoe you'll just have to find out for yourself!

D'arcy's is well-known for its horseshoes and Irish-inspired atmosphere and food offerings. The parking lot is always full and on a midweek mid afternoon visit there was still a wait. No reservations. The horseshoe is a uniquely central Illinois offering with meats, cheese, and French fries the focus. The menu offers other fare as well, including reasonably priced lunch offerings.... More

We have been to D'arcy's many times, but tonight my shoe was subpar. I feel like it must have been sitting out for a while before they brought it to the table. In a town with so many options for a good shoe, this one wasn't what I'm used to.

Went to see from friends we had not seen in a long time. Everyone ate something different and raved about the food. 4 out of 5 had ponyshoes. Little advice for Sunday, be there when they open or plan on waiting for a table.

Had a Corned beef Horseshoe. It was really good. The servings were huge. Our server was Virginia, she was great. Absolutely will be back.

A Horseshoe is an open face sandwich, toast, meat, french fries, topped with homemade cheese sauce. If you didn't live or grow up in Central or Southern Illinois, you probably have never heard of it before. It is a local classic and is the perfect pub food. Darcy's has a great version and several options for your meat (or veggie)... More

My daughter had a burger pony shoe and she was really happy with it. I got a buffalo chicken horseshoe and it was really good. Only complaint is had on mine... More

We made it a point to visit D'arcy's on a recent visit to Springfield. We had tried to eat here previously, but always found the wait too long. The crowds here are well earned and well justified. D'arcy's reputation for the best horseshoes in Springfield is spot on. Absolutely delicious food. Our server was pleasant enough and efficient. The only... More

The pros Cheese sauce on horseshoe was really good Waitress was super nice and wanted to make sure we were happy You get good portions Cons Here's where it gets strange. I was drinking Diet Sierra Mist, which has to come from the bar. The waitress noticed I needed a refill so she brought back two so I wouldn't have... More

We arrived right at 11:00 when they open and there were bunches of people going in. It filled up fast! My husband had a ponyshoe w/buffalo chicken and I had a blackened chicken sandwich on jalapeno corn bread. Both were yummy! The service was excellent! We definitely want to visit again!
