The Old Luxemburg Inn has been in business since the 1940's. It has had several owners but the place continues to be the same place I dined at in the 1950's. The place has large servings, excellent food and an atomsphere of days gone by. The staff at the Old Lux are friendly and it is common to see customers... More

Was hoping for family that wanted to go for nostalgic reasons that food would be good. We ordered house wine and also per recommendations by waitress catfish and baked potato with sour cream chive sauce. Needless to say, wine was horrible, catfish was old and fishy, and potato would have been fine without the sauce it was to much and salty.... More

I always asked myself why anyone would french fry a lobster tail until I went to this place. Given the lobster was terrible before they cooked it it then seemed appropriate to french fry it to try to cover up the poor quality. The prices were cheap which may explain why some people like it, but when food is so... More

When I say surprisingly delicious, I mean for the price of a great steak dinner. On the night I ate at the Old Lux (what the locals call it), the $15.95 filet was discounted a dollar! This restaurant has been around a long time and they have not updated the decor, much. Because I have lots of childhood memories at... More

I've been going here for 40 years. Everything is good. This is a nice, but not elegant restaurant. Basic mid-western comfort food. Definitely try the baked potato with chive cheese sauce. Springfield's horseshoe, steaks, chicken. The whole menu is simply good food.

Consistently good as it always is since my first in '92. Warm, professional and courteous staff. Our waitress Christy is top notch. Ambience is 1970's and that was a cool thing. Ample portions, well prepared. Ribeye was too fatty, is the only negative.

It does not look like much on the outside, but they have good steak. The interior is dated, but I think that is what is unique about the Lux. They have a good menu selection along with a full bar. The staff is always friendly and the wait never to long.

We went during what my be called off-hours - I just don't like crowded restaurants. The ambience - nothing jazzy, but friendly. Regular folks offering above average service. Easily recommended this place.

First thing is they have no name brand drinks. No Coca cola or Pepsi cola. Asked for milk and waited 20 min to be told no the cook needs it. The waitress had no clue. Every time we asked a question she walked away to ask some body else. After we ordered she kept coming back and saying that they... More

Absolutely fab! Great meal. Great prices and great people. Brandy Alexander was over the top! Dennis knows his trade and keeps everyone entertained. All at the bar became friends. Filet was perfect.
