The food here is excellent. This restaurant has been in operation for over 50 years. It is definitely is not a chain. One of my favorites in Springfield.
Very tasty, classic Italian food! Old-style joint with lots of dark wood. The salad dressing is to die for! Wish I had the recipe! Brought a bottle home! It's a great place to have lunch while visiting the Lincoln sites in downtown Springfield.
Saputo's is an institution and I have been coming back again and again for 20+ years. The family that owns it are great! The food is excellent, and the staff (especially our favorite bartender Jen, and our favorite waitress Casey) are amazing!
