We stopped here after visiting the fantastic War and Peace museum nearby. Great buffet lunch with fresh salads mushroom soup and delicious bread. All you can eat! The town while small had a nice walking path along the fjord that we enjoyed after lunch. Worth...More

One of the best seafood dishes that I had in Iceland. I had the fish of the day. Fresh baked cod in white wine sauce and grilled veggies. Excellent

We stopped at the settlement on our way back from into the glacier for dinner. The food was amazing, but the real highlight was stepping outside and watching the sunset.

Thank you so much for your very generous review. Yes Borgarnes is a beautyful place to watch the sunset and the Northern lights in the wintertime. Best regards Sigridur Margret

Located in the Settlement Center Museum, this restaurant has a varied menu. We had the seafood soup at dinner and it was the best one that we had in Iceland!

Really liked this place, beautiful physical space, with one wall of the restaurant and museum gift shop simply the stone wall of a cliff, complemented by a large skylight. Very light and airy. Everything we had was delicious - lamb, cod, chicken. Highly recommend the...More

It is hard to find a seat but we were lucky since we were two person. It is better to make a reservation if you have a larger group. I had lamb and my husband had chicken, both delicious.

We thought, based Risk Steven's guidebook, that the prices for main dishes were reasonable. We found the prices on the high end side and the amount of food on the plate rather pathetic. Located in The Settlement Center, the restaurant caters to tourists with money...More

Thank you for your review. Well it depends on what you order. Some of the starters are small - with very expensive ingredients like lobster and the Icelandic smoked meat. But you can find several dishes with big portions for reasonable price as the meat...More

Thank you so much for your very kind review. Our veggie burger is our private recipe and made on the premises but Trader Joe´s is a good store so I guess it not to bad to taste like their Masala Burger. Best regards Sigridur Margret
