Great steak every time we visit this Omaha classic steak house. There are so few left. If you haven't been here for a while, it's still as good as you remember. If you have never been here, find out why family-owned steak houses built Omaha's...More

Ok, so I had high hopes to try Johnny's out, an Omaha standard. Well, that standard ended in the 70's and stayed there. Walked in and it just smelled old and musty, the decor truly is the 70's and not good 70's but honestly is...More

Such history - sitting right on the edge of the old stockyards Johnny's is awash is the glory days of the area. Still a great place. Food is what you'd expect from a high end place, but the prices are really reasonable compared to the...More

Johnny's never fails to be consistent with good service. They have a junior prime rib portion that fills a person to the gills so I can't imagine how big the larger portions on the menu are. The complimentary cottage cheese spread is delicious with their...More

Went to Johnny's with two friends from out of town who used to work there. It was a blast from the past to be in this 95 year-old Omaha icon. More than nostalgia, the steak and prime rib were perfect. Mushroom gravy comes with steak...More

For 35 years my friend and I return from our hiking trip and eat at Johnny's Cafe. The potato Au gratin is very good. The steaks and prime rib are superior. Starters are ok. Salad boring. Desserts are interesting. Enjoy the atmosphere. I suggest more...More

Don't let the word "Cafe" in the name fool you! I'm so glad that I chose to dress nicely for our dinner at Johnny's. There is definitely a formal yet friendly style to this restaurant. My husband ordered the Ribeye, and I ordered the Chicken...More

We were in town for our first College World Series experience and had TWO recommendations to go Johnny's. We went for a late dinner on Monday and the crowd was light. The service was prompt and very friendly, and all our steaks were terrific! We...More

Loved every single thing about Johnny's. The filet was awesome. The cottage cheese spread I couldn't stop eating. The mushroom gravy I could eat on top of everything. One of my favorite things was the 96 years of history!!! Thank you for a memorable dinner!!!

When you arrive at this building, you will recognize that this is a restaurant out of the 1920's or 1930's--Elliot Ness could have taken Al Capone into custody here. It's an historic setting. After that, if you settle back and enjoy the restaurant, you will...More
