Very nice meal. We all got a different burger. It was our first trip and we will go back. My Burger had Jalepeno and Pepper Jack Cheese. Beef was cooked to order and was flavorful. Multiple napkins needed. Juicy and Cheesy deliciousness. Fries were crispy and tasty. We shared onion rings. They were good.

Great service, water refilled every time, reuben sandwich good, no pickle on side to make a statement, and the fries are another topic. First, round of them partner didn't want the salt, second try, When they came out you could smell the sour or fowl odor from the oil. Tried one or two, then called server over to try. He... More

I love this place for lunch, but recently dined here at night with my family for my birthday celebration. I wanted somewhere nice that would be okay to take two grandkids. We had a great experience. While it is basically casual dining, it has enough atmosphere to be a lovely experience. We were seated where the kids could look outside... More

The atmosphere is bar/pub, the service was fine, and they brought a sweet and sour sauce when the original sauce for the coconut shrimp was way to hot. Not great, not bad.

Even though I've been here numerous times with work colleagues, my family had not had the experience. Meatloaf is one of my favorites with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. My son ordered the chicken fried steak with same sides with rave reviews. My husband ordered the ribeye with an average review. Service was a big slow for the server... More

First beautiful evening and they turned the fire pit on - love that. My daughter had rosemary chicken - very thin breast but the sauce was tasty. Broccoli cooked well. Husband had grilled meatloaf said it tasted like an Italian meatballs. I did not taste this. He had it in the past and it didn't come cold marinara sauce so... More

Great ambiance and service! Good spot for an all American food experience. Had the pot roast w/mash for lunch, $12 can't beat it.

My family had a reunion in Omaha and we selected the Black Oak due to its location to a nearby hotel and that I have visited the Black Oak many times. I worked with Mike to arrange for dinner for 30 people. Mike and his table staff were great to work with and they handled serving our family. The food... More

We made reservations the day before, so we were seated promptly. The meal came close to a 5 star experience, but failed on some minor items that could have been easily addressed. Based on reviews here, we started with the spinach dip. It lived up to its reputation. The dip and chips came out, the food was dropped off and... More

With quality steaks from local Wohlner's Grocery, juicy burgers and gourmet sandwiches, Black Oak Grill finds its roots in a broad range of urban grills, neighborhood cafes, boulevard bistros and corner taverns. Stop in for Sunday Brunch. Enjoy a wide selection of local craft beers and great Happy Hour specials. In warmer weather, enjoy the dog-friendly patio with gorgeous views of Turner Park. Not sure what to order? General Manager Mike Cizek recommends starting out with Spinach & 5 Cheese Dip or Fried Goat Cheese. For lunch, enjoy 20 delicious dishes for under $10, like slow-roasted Baby Back Ribs or the Black Oak Salad. At dinner, savor an incredibly tender Ribeye Steak, bacon and fried egg Husker Burger, Smoked Chicken & Avocado Club, or Iron Skillet Trout. Finish off the experience with a chocolate ganache-filled Kahlua Ding Dong. On Sundays, stop in for brunch, with cinnamon-vanilla French Toast, Biscuits & Gravy, and amazing omelets.
