I've heard Rave reviews about this place and it didn't disappoint. I ordered, chicken with buns, fries, and a pork tenderloin sandwich. The fries are Definitely better than Runzas, the pork tenderloin sandwich was great for fast food, and the chicken is the best for the fast food genre. It's a little thicker batter with a cornmeal texture, the price... More

There aren't many soul food restaurants or soul food cafes in Omaha. This place is in an "urban area" that's off the beaten path. It's near 30th and Lake St. This is NOT a huge place but they do offer limited seating. The main course here is chicken! That is what they are known for. They also offer fish, fries,... More

I believe that they have the best chicken in town. And their prices are so affordable. You can get a complete chicken dinner for under $8.

Love this place and the service is great. They pay attention to detail and the fried chicken is the best I have ever had.

I don't like wings because they are so small, usually. However the wings at time out are very meaty and fried just right. If I lived in Omaha I would probably have very high cholesterol because I would eat there every week. When I pass thru I try to always stop and grab the 4 wing combo or 6 wings... More

We go to Time Out Foods every once in a while as it is fairly close. It's also nice to have a fast-food type chicken joint that's locally owned and operated. The fried chicken here is generally good. The flouring is slightly spicy and flavorful. However, watch out though as sometimes the meat is dry - chicken overcooked or sitting... More

The fried chicken here was the best in town after a long night at local football or dance. My recent visit proved to be a very disappointing event. The best rated bird in town is no longer the champ. Some thing has gone fron the TIME OUT no longer the best but it is open late on the weekends.

I was in Omaha for business. My colleague and I decided we want to have fried chicken. I googled where the best chicken in Omaha was and this was it. Well I am here to say this is the best fries and chicken anywhere in the world! Chicken had a nice little kick and the fries were perfect. The lady... More

My husband and I popped in to Time Out Foods because I sometimes crave really good fried chicken. Not broasted/roasted, but FRIED. And this was so good. Not overly greasy, just right. Nice, peppery spice in the breading. Good thing it's not right around the corner from my house or I'd be here several times a week! Along with my... More

I went because of the food prowl rating as the best chicken in Omaha. I really have to disagree with them on this one. My chicken was very greasy, about 10 napkins worth. It also lacked seasoning, the only spice I got from it was from the hot sauce I put on it. The fries were under done. The potato... More
