I crave Cajun-style food every now and then, and never hope to equal the New Orleans' experience over the years. But this establishment in Omaha's Old Market area was disappointing. The oysters weren't as chilled as one would expect on ice. The gumbo lacked flavor. Red beans and rice, over-seasoned. Things just seemed uneven when we visited. I'm not sure... More

The food was good but the service was very poor. They were not busy at all that night. We patiently waited to be seated the hostess was nice just took a while for him to even notice us staying there. When he sat us he said the bartender was are waiter....we waited for him to come greet us another couple... More

5 of us went here for a birthday dinner. It was our first time there, but definitely not our last. They were VERY short staffed that night but our waiter (Mike?) made it worth the short wait. He was funny and made excellent recommendations for dinner. I had the chicken a la mer with succotash. I can't even begin to... More

Really spicy jambalaya. Great atmosphere. Love the decor. Reminds of the NOLA lol. The wife and I enjoyed our visit here. Everyone should try it out.

I would recommend jambalaya for appetizer and I usually get blackened tuna as it is excellent rare. Music is sometimes going on but not on this trip.

Pleasantly surprised to find authentic Cajun flavors this far from Louisiana. I probably ate more than I should have but everything from the boudain to the crawfish etouffee was mighty tasty. This may not be Louisiana, but these folks can see it from here.

After a long day touring around Omaha by bike and foot, we were exhausted, and wanted to find a satisfying meal close to our hotel. We were pleased to find Jazz, as we love Cajun/Creole food. They didn't disappoint. The atomosphere is fun with great music, the service prompt and friendly, and all of us cleaned our plates. Were wishing... More

I am writing about Jazz again for only one reason. They have always had great food. But tonight we had just a great experience with a wonderful waiter. This young man could give lessons on how to make a customer feel valued, and be attentive. Nice, fast, covered every option, smiling, personable. What a nice way to enjoy a great... More

This is an interesting place. They definitely have their strengths, but they also have some challenges. I went there with a group of 25-30 people. We were seated upstairs in an open area designed for this. The physical plant worked fairly well. The food at this restaurant is quite good. I had the blackened chicken. It had just the right... We went to Jazz to celebrate my birthday. I had never tried Creole fool & had always wanted to, but my husband does not like spicy food. For my birthday, however, he made an exception. I ordered the Crawfish Etouffee & Jambalaya & my husband (surprise, surprise) ordered a hamburger. I didn't take a photo because it wasn't really pretty...the... More
