We went to Anchorage and were surprised to find there was a falafel place there. Just seems a little incongruous. But the food was great middle eastern. Great falafel and shawarma. The husband and wife are a delight. We loved it!

Compacted place, only one guy works&cooks. But you'd go back there again because the food is THAT good. I had Shawarma, layered meat with Tahini sauce, non daily sauce. The cook says it's made out of sesame seeds. I recommend strongly to just stop by this place & have a bite of his creations.

We almost didn't go in when we drove up but I'm glad we did. It smelled so good we could have eaten the air. The menu is limited but it doesn't have to be huge because it's specialized. Fortunately we were the front of the lunch line because there was a line of 8 or 9 people when we left.... More

We ordered Grilled chicken platter and Shawarma and falafel platter. Its an Israeli food joint. It was almost closing time. The lady, owner cum chef, cooked the grilled chciken, shawarma and falafel fresh in front of us. The platters were served with 3 types of salad and pickle, along with hummas, tahini, hot sauce and pita bread. We loved the food.... More

I love going here on a rainy day! The food just makes you feel good! My favorite on the menu is the Shawarma, but the Falafel is also great. The owner is always there, and he is always exceptionally pleasant. He only takes cash, so plan accordingly! The pepper/hot sauce bar allows you to customize your heat.

We had the best falafel, shawarma , and kebobs. You can't bet the taste or price! The place has 4 tables indoor and few outdoor tables (in season). You can't go wrong

I walked past this place yesterday and thought the small shop may be closed for good from the exterior looks. But a friend came into town and said it had odd hours and looks closed, but it's worth a visit. We both got the schwarma, and I got baklava. The schwarma was pricier than I figured (hence four stars), but... More

As someone that came from Israel to visit Anchorage, I have some experience with falafel, and this was one of the best Falafel I ever had , very tasty, and a very big portion. In addition the owner was very nice and makes you feel welcomed. Don't miss this one, if you are in anchorage. Now that I am back... More

Don't be fooled by the look of this place! The food and service are excellent here. For just a few bucks you can be stuffed full of wonderful falafels! The portions are huge and delicious. There's only a few items on the menu, but they are all fantastic and worth the wait during the lunch rush. Be ready to take... More

We traveled to Israel a few years ago, and we fell in love with the food. We didn't anticipate to find the same food in Anchorage. The falafel was absolutely delicious and the shwarma was out of this world. Portions are generous and the service was excellent. Diamond in the rough located on Gamble, a place that we would definitely... More
