These are the best bagels in Seattle... And I grew up on H&H and Kossars in NYC. This is a neighborhood treasure with a wide variety of breads and pastries. You cannot go wrong here.

The baked goods and bread here are very good and the coffee and tea are very nice, but what brings me back every time are the bagel sandwiches. I lived off of them in college and can't often find a spot that makes them well and this does it!!

The quintessential neighborhood funky coffee house. Older wooden tables and tattooed friendly help. Good lattes, good quiche and excellent pumpkin muffins! Soup and sandwiches at lunch.

I love freshly baked goods and the Grateful Bread Bakery certainly has them. I've tried many of their desserts, pastries, and loaf breads and enjoyed them all. My husband LOVES their chocolate croissants, and we fight over the last bite of the coconut macaroons. I've had many a macaroon but never one better than those from the Grateful Bread. They... More

My family loves the bagels at Grateful Bread. It's tough to find an honest bagel in Seattle...one that doesn't taste like enriched, bland bread. These bagels have great flavour & tooth. Buy 1 dozen, get a bagel free. You can get bagel sandwiches as well with a wide variety of fillings from roast beef to veggie. The sandwiches are solid... More

One of our favorite coffee shops in the Seattle area. It serves great baked goods, wonderful sandwich, quiche and soup options. We had lunch on our last day visiting that great city. And if you're in that area, take a walk up 85th off of 35th and see the Wedgewood Duck House. Just a bunch of little plastic ducks, but... More

I must go here at least one a week, I so love this place! Great bakery. Great soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, desserts. All organic, healthy, flavorful food. Very informal atmosphere. Order at the counter, then sit at one of the mix/matched tables. A comfie place. Toy corner for kids. Open-air seating on good weather days. Suitable for everyone from moms... More

Been here once a few weeks ago, definitely going back. Had one of the best tasting reubens I've had in Seattle. The Italian sodas are great. It seems pretty busy, so plan for a bit of a wait. I agree with other reviewers that service may be slower than other places, but it is definitely worth the wait. It is... More
