They do it all from fresh loaves of bread to savory sandwiches to amazing pastries and little cakes. And they do it well. Very well. Don’t be dismayed by a line out the door as it moves quickly. Just queue up and pay attention. Space is tight and once through the door you’ll see display cases on the left and... More

Bakery Nouveau makes the best baguette outside of Paris, no question! And, their buttery not-sugary croissants are just right, crisp where it matters and soft where it should be. The sandwiches are also totally in the style of Parisian (French) bakeries. These treats make me feel as though I am back on rue Rivoli.

You cannot go wrong with their chocolate croissants. Their bakery has been a bit of a go to for my sweet tooth for years. They are still doing it right. If you have traveled to New Zealand their pizza bread is about as close to what you would find over there.

When you enter morning or lunchtime- it's crowded for good reason. Fresh & delicious baked breads & pastries- right out of Paris!--or at least tasted that way! Sandwiches are really unique & far from ordinary. Pay a little more- but worth it!

Highly recommend their quiche, baguette sandwiches and deserts. Never made a bad choice. Very good almond croissants but I am French and sorry their pains au chocolat, brioche and croissants are not quite it for me. I love their breads though. Ate at both the West Seattle and Capitol Hill locations. Very crowded on weekends but still great lunch.

This is the best bakery in all Seattle. French pastry chef and beautiful and delicious offerings. Does wonderful occasion cakes too with lots of choices of cake, icings and in between layer tastes.

Great neighborhood joint. Bought pastries for an office breakfast - thanks to the melt in your mouth almond croissants, I was colleague of the month!

The chibatta and the Epi (french baguette in the shape of a stalk) are the best breads I've had anywhere. I have eaten these in LA, Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, NYC, Boston and even in Paris, France. Do yourself a favor and head over to this West Seattle carbohydrate outpost of decadent indulgence sooner than later!
