The food was amazing and the service great. Good options for German beer. German menu if you like. Food so reminded me of Germany. Second time I have eaten there satisfied both times. Good size portions

A group of 20 of us enjoyed an evening of German beer and food at this pub after a long day of meeting. They serve a wide range of German beers as well as German food. For a Thursday night, the place was crowded and...More
1/2 liter of Bitburger served in this German restaurant, $5.00 was an OK beer. Gruner Veltliner, $7.00 per glass was dry and tasty. Rustic-looking Alsalce atmosphere filled with wood. Bratwurst, $13.00 consisted of a skinny hot dog, 2 scoops of sauerkraut, french fries. Overcooked and...More
It seems slightly out-of-place but this German bar is excellent. They have a great selection of beers, and can serve them in the (obligatory) glass wellington boot. Service is rapid and polite. Have the steak!

We stopped in here because our son had been there before and had a positive experience. Ours was not so. Our server was very inattentive and it took us forever every time we needed something, even though it was very empty in there (it was...More
I've checked out Altstadt twice now, and I'm very pleased. German "decor" inside, without being kitschy, and all sorts of seating from the bar area, to four top tables, to eating family style at long tables so you can be with a large group, or...More
German Food is hard to find. This was not the case in the recent past. 20 years ago many of the folks who had emigrated to the USA and were responsible for the great profusion of German joints were alive and well and their restaurants...More
Family of eight ate at this German restaurant in Pioneer Square. Wienersnitzel was very good. Steak very good, Bratwurst okay. Mustard excellent. Pom frites and pretzel very good. Server got the job done, but took forever, bringing out food at different times. Poor attitude.
