This was the perfect place for a casual dinner after a PCNW talk at Seattle U. The steamed mussels with bits of sausage were in the best sauce I've ever had, the mussels themselves were perfectly cooked (not overcooked), and the excellent bread soaked up that delicious sauce. Sorry I only had the opportunity to dine here once.

This is always a great stop. Lunch is my favorite. I like to sit at the bar. They now have a proper lunch special, which is only available on Tuesday. It is a great deal. The food is usually great. Omelettes are terrific. Fries are to die for. And the bread is spectacular. 1664 on tap and a full bar... More

Been coming here for years. Overall consistency is extremely high. Want to order just about everything on the menu every time I'm here. I lean toward the breakfast items; The Croque Madam is World Class, the omelettes are exceptional. French Onion Soup, Bibb Lettuce, Charcuterie, all fantastic! If you are lucky enough to get an outside table on a sunny... More

While visiting my friends that attend college nearby, they brought me here- a real gem of a place for people that enjoy rich, flavorful, "fancy" food, but at a reasonable price. The staff were lovely and warm, and even gave us delicious bread and butter to start just because! Would highly recommend coming here if you're in the neighborhood- and... More

We were right around the corner and decided to stop in for a late breakfast. I had an omelette with mushrooms and ham, which was handled very nicely! Hot, delicious, with just the right texture. My husband ordered the broiled (baked) eggs which were done exquisitely. Service was unrushed, friendly. The caffe au lait was tops. Prices were reasonable. It's... More

Their menu is simple, French inspired, and overall features high quality food. We were really pleased with our coffee (including housemade nut milk), perfect omelets, and a delicious yogurt parfait. They serve roasted chicken also for takeaway - looking forward o trying that at some point. A little pricy given the portion size, but we were pleased with the quality.... More

They open early, so was a delicious place to meet a friend on a an early AM, for a breakfast with delicious pastries and some hot broiled egg dish. My friend had a London Fog - an earl grey tea with vanilla and steamed milk ! It has the most unusual selection of art magazines and more for sale, so... More

Café Presse prepares seasonal French food, so some of the items change. However, the Casse Croûte has your small plate French favorites: croque monsieur, baguette sandwiches, omelettes, etc. - all day everyday. On my most recent visit, I enjoyed the cod filet roasted with grain mustard, served on fennel, mushrooms, Delicata squash, mushroom-fennel broth. It was served hot and I... More

My mom lives in Bellevue and does not like to come over to Seattle very much but she will gladly come if I treat her to Café Presse. First of all, the service is impeccable. I have never met a rude server at this restaurant and they are not pretentious compared to their colleagues at sister restaurant Le Pichet. They... More
