We loved the food here. Pancakes and fruit and fresh cream, plus mimosas. What else do you need? We made reservations, and I would recommend that.

Portage Bay Café serves one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. I was visiting Seattle, and made an internet search of good breakfast places .This place was a bit of a hike from my downtown hotel, but well worth it. I arrived at the...More
Eat like you give a damn... That is the motto with which Portage Bay welcomes you and absolutely lives up to the same. It is a great place to hang out if you love your breakfast. Eggs, pancakes, French toast, organic potatoes and some amazing...More
I had a pleasant lunch here with a colleague. Your basic sandwich and soup place. The quality is good and the service is fast.

The food just seemed to be OK. Ordered a Cuban, it was just OK. Tasted just OK and at $14.50 it ought to be really good. However, the staff is friendly and efficient. They should also offer more than just proseco on the wine list.
Met friends for brunch. Place was PACKED and consequently a bit loud. Service was still excellent. All had great meals. And they take reservations! We will definitely return.
