John has a great spot. He continues a legacy of award winning grub and keeps us lunch timers happy as fried clams. But he don't serve no clams. Pulled pork, brisket, chicken, and turkey, All smoked just right. Fridays he has ribs and they always sell out. It's fast and if the weather is good, take it over to Occidental... More

Who could resist going to a place called Hole in the Wall? Very good BBQ. We got the 3 meats - pilled pork, brisket and hot links. The gem is the hot links, so long as you like a little heat with your BBQ!

Hole in the Wall is named aptly. It's a hole in the wall, but it's humble exterior hides the heart of true North Carolina BBQ. Hole in the Wall serves NC specialties like pulled pork and homestyle macaroni salad. If you're truly Southern at heart, you can also get a nice meatloaf sandwich! Come hungry because they're going to fill... More

Great mac salad, exceptional pulled pork, and wonderful decor and services. Will visit next time I'm in Seattle.

We went out of our way to eat here, recommended to us. It was worth every bite, what a sandwich. Best pulled pork I ever ate. You can get spice hot, medium Hot, or mild. It's also gluten free if you skip the bun. Near the court house in Seattle.

I love the BBQ here. I used to come here a lot when I worked downtown. I now work in the U District. However, yesterday, I had the chance to visit Hole in the Wall for lunch and enjoyed every bite. The brisket is great - the taste, the texture, the smoke, all of it.

I moved to Seattle from the southeast and was at first disheartened when I couldn't find a decent BBQ place. I came across Hole in the Wall one day after my office moved to Smith Tower. Evidently the guys are from Austin and have been in business since 1989 - and it shows. The service is super friendly, prices are... More

Given the quality of brisket beef has gone down, the price has gone up, the combination equates to poor. Food is average price is high. After all these years of patronage I'll probably call it quits for that place.

I was craving some BBQ while in Seattle. Low and behold I find out there's a place within walking distance of where I'm staying. No need to think, off I went. It's a small place for sure but I went after lunch hours and had no problem getting a seat. I went with the brisket sandwich. It was delicious. Very... More

I've been eating here for the last 20 years and love it. Thursday they have Bbq pork ribs which melt off the bone. If it's a slow day you might get some on Friday but you can't count on it. The also have good coleslaw and beans. Friendly but seating is along the outer wall. No alcohol, but Nantucket nectar... More
