The fish is great. That said, eating by the water, while beautiful, has its drawbacks. It’s noisy with the highway. Everything has to come from the indoor bar or kitchen and takes longer. But I’d go back.

We came to Ivar’s for dinner during the week and were really impressed. Had no trouble getting seats and the service was very friendly and fairly quick. The outdoor seating was really nice getting to see all of the boats on lake union. All of...More

I’m not a fan of salmon. It is normally fishy tasting and people who eat fish know that it shouldn’t taste like that! The true fish snob is my husband so when the menu offered few other choices and when the server offered the Copper...More

We dropped by for a late lunch. 10 minute wait for a window table. Excellent. Great menu with plenty of selections. Waitress was very helpful and quick with the drinks. Food was great. You have to try the clam chowder.

My spouse and I ate dinner at Ivars twice recently and this review covers both visits. The first time (in mid-March), the service was wonderful-server there when necessary but not hovering and the food delightful. I had the halibut special and husband the alder-smoked salmon,...More

If you want a St. Paddy's Day experience today go to Murphy's Pub in Wallingford (about a mile north of Ivar's) or, better yet, Kell's in Pike St. Market.
