We went omakase style and we had the privilege of a non-busy sushi chef who walked us through the assorted sushi since the restaurant was relatively empty on a Tuesday night. Everything is moderately priced for such great sushi.

Very clean, excellent food that I imagine is prepared by the owner and his wife. Good prices, everything fresh, great service. It's in a little mall so has the mall atmosphere. Highly recommended

Great restaurant in the Georgetown area. Fantastic sushi! This establishment is family owned and operated. You can be sure that you will have personal service. Ask the chef to make something special just for you, and you won't be disappointed.

I have been here before but it was not at the sushi bar. Met a very good friend here for lunch today. The sushi chef, Alex, was very friendly. Not just to me but to everyone coming in the door or leaving. It has been a long time since I was in a sushi bar where I was made to... More

I do not know how the restaurant was run by the previous owners, but Alex and his wife and staff do an absolutely fantastic job. I came with a group of eight to this restaurant, which had my uncle excited about the quality and the service. He was right on with his assessment... Alex, his wife, and staff did an... More

We really like this restaurant. The prices are right, and the new owners pay you a lot of attention. The food is good. My husband and I highly recommend it. He has eaten in a lot of Japanese restaurants and does not lightly give a restaurant a "thumbs up."

We had dinner at Daimonji on Feb 1. We arrived at about 8:00 PM and appeared to be the last new customers of this Wednesday evening. Yet the owner and staff greeted us warmly, did not rush our meal and were gracious and very helpful. They spent time at our table after our dinner discussing the meal and in general... More

This humble storefront did not draw my attention until the guy in my carpool pointed it out. "That place is good", he said, "You should take your husband there." (He knows my husband is a Japanese citizen, and very fond of sushi!). So we tried it one evening. It is an unpretentious little place with very fair prices and excellent... More

My Daughter wanted teriyaki and we where driving past Daimonji so I know she loves sushi, so we stopped in and I had not been here for two years or so. It was a great experience, AAlex is the owner and sushi chef, he greeted us and was very friendly, so was the rest of the staff. Alex engaged into... More
