Great neighborhood place. They were able to seat 6 of us without a reservation. Burgers were the bomb! And the appetizers were delicious! Great service also!

The fried chicken is definitely a treat and a comforting meal. It is so tasty, crispy and juicy. I enjoyed it and will definitely be returning.

I've only been here for brunch, but I've been here several times! They have a brunch menu which has some classic Hawaiian fare - loco moco, saimin, spam masubi. But they also have a lot of interesting twists. Coconut congee, coconut French toast, fried chicken. Their drink menu is extensive and their coffee is delicious and bottomless. Service is always... I live in west Seattle and love this restaurant. The food is amazing and the drinks. Ambiance is ok. It's loud, can be hot with the open kitchen and not super romantic. You can't miss eating here, the food is fantastic. Ramen and poke are our faves.

At Ma'ona there is so much to choose from the truly creative offerings. For brunch the Eggs Benedict and Coconut French Toast are excellent. Big portions. Excellent service even on a crowded Sunday at noon. Vibe is lively and fun. Ma'ona is a sure thing.

At least by taking out, it wasn't as noisy as it was the last time we were here. I don't personally get it. White meat on the fried chicken is dry. Dark meat is just ok. Not impressed. All the sides we ordered were way better that their fried chicken.

I was looking forward to celebrating a friend's birthday and trying Ma'ono a second time because they were out of fried chicken on my first visit. The chicken was good, but the cold, indifferent service was very disappointing, especially for a special occasion, lets-try-something-different evening. Not worth a third visit.

Ma'ono is a magical gem of a restaurant not-so-hidden on California Avenue in West Seattle. You can't help but notice the lines of people gathering by their front door before they open for dinner service. It's a great place to go with your friends or significant other and try many of their side dishes - ALL are yummy and leave... More
