On our way to the airport for our long trip back to the mainland, we realized that we were going to arrive at the airport much too early. We pulled up Google Maps to see what was around and Mrs. Barry's cookies appeared. We pulled...into a very industrial looking area and the entrance to Mrs. Barry's made us wonder if this was a store or a distribution center. It is in fact a shop. The variety here is excellent and the cookies are fantastic. As my title suggests, not many made it back because we kept eating them on the flight home! Yum!More

Here's how we do it-- we land, pick up car, Costco, Mrs Barry's for one dozen cookies leaving 2 out to eat on the way to the resort. Always intend to bring some home but they never seem to make it. We went twice this...trip. Seriously fabulous.More

We were actually looking for Honolulu Cookie Company cookies but saw Mrs. Barry's Kona Cookies while on our way into Costco to buy vacation supplies. Wow! Glad we saw this place and decided to go in. The sales associate was very friendly and offer as...many samples as we wished (more than we could eat at the moment actually). The cookies were so yummy...we bought 2 dozen and between four of us, wolfed them down within about a week. Ran out of time to run back and snag some before our flight home, but we will definitely patronize them on our next visit.More

We decided to make a special stop for cookies. They were so good, well worth the extra stop. They had quite the variety of cookies.

Amazing cookies packaged well for travel and gifting -- really excellent cookies, friendly staff at the bakery/showroom which is off the beaten track but easy to get to and worth it.

Each year it gets more difficult to find something to bring back from the Big Island for gifts that you can't get on Oahu, Mrs. Barry's Kona Cookies has been our go-to place for years!

In the spirit of full disclosure, I must admit that rarely have I found a cookie that I didn't love. When I first tried Mrs. Barry's Kona Cookies, I enjoyed them, and, from then on, every subsequent visit to Kailua-Kona brought me to Mrs. Barry's...Kona Cookies. We usually are on our way to pick up groceries from Costco, which is very close to the cookie store, before checking in to our timeshare. And, I'm sure to stop in to pick up cookies to enjoy during our visit and also cookies to bring back to my co-workers. I hadn't realized what a following Mrs. Barry's cookies have, even with local Oahu residents. My co-worker declared these were her favorite cookies, so next time I visit, I'm bringing her an entire box. They offer samples at the store, and plenty of boxed assortments to peruse or you can buy the cookies individually. I'm partial to the chocolate-covered shortbread, but all the cookies are yummy. It just depends on your tastes. If you're looking to bring back local goodies for friends and co-workers, Mrs. Barry's Kona cookies would make a good gift. The boxes are nicely packaged. Just be sure, if you're buying cookies that are chocolate dipped, not to leave them in the sun for too long so they don't melt.More

Aloha! Sorry for the late response. We don't do gluten-free. However, if you give me a recipe, I will try it!
