This is the classic 80s generation "nice" restaurant. It has a clear theme (Manta Rays) that runs throughout everything (decor, art, even the name of the drinks). The food is fine (the fresh fish was good) but expensive (close to $40 per dish). It isn't...More

They do have a nice view overlooking the cliffs and lit up at night watching the snorkelers around the Rays. The breakfast buffet was almost $30 apiece with tax. There is an omelette station, waffles, pancakes, french toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit (though not mango/papaya and...More

Tasty food and a beautiful view - we enjoyed breakfast here for a week and once for dinner. Fish tacos and crab cakes were enough for a light meal.

We stayed very close by to Rays (Sheraton) during our 8 day stay in Kona. The location and open air feeling is amazing, as is watching the huge Manta-rays come in at night (8pm). However its clear that your paying for their overhead and the...More

Had dinner at Rays on the Bay with my family. The staff was friendly and pleasant. The food was great and the service was good with no delays or mistakes. The ocean view was nice and beautiful. Watching the sunset go down was outstanding.

We enjoyed dinner at Ray's. The view is spectacular overlooking the bay, and we saw manta rays in the lights the hotel shines onto the bay. The food was quite good, although the menu is a bit limited. I would recommend Rays for a nice...More

My husband & I ate at the bar since there were no tables without a reservation. I got the appetizer crab cakes ($14) and he got Mac nut crusted mahi ($39) and a It Takes Two Mango ($14) drink. The view was second to none,...More

Food was overpriced and honestly not really good. We went there to see the manta rays and that's pretty much all we got. $130 4 average bar food really wasn't worth it. The major problem were the cats. They were cats everywhere must have been...More

Aloha, Manta rays can frequently be seen at Rays on the Bay. However, it is a natural environment so we can't guarantee sightings. I've personally seen about five gathered in one night! Visit our Manta Learning Center to... More
