Huge portions! Order at counter. Only 7-8 tables. Located in a industrial looking area around Target. The chicken furikake was also good.

Such food at a great price! Can't get the taste of the fried porkbelly out of my mind. Realy a hard to pick out storefront in a minimall so be calm and rest assured you'll be happy you made the effort. So many good tastes there with the laid back local attitude.

Try the garlic shrimp, amazing. Don't just peel off the shell, savor it in all its crispy glory. The second time I had this as the entree and they served the largest prawns I have ever seen! Seriously, I have served lobster tails that were smaller than these babies. The mac salad was really tasty too. Loved their ox tail... More

Broke da Mouth Grindz is still my favorite place in Kona to eat local dishes :)). Don't be fooled by its location in a non-description strip mall and humble interior (which is kept super clean). The wait staff are really nice& helpful, the menu is extensive + has great taste combinations (e.g. Kim chee fried rice). It's mandatory to try... More

This place was a good welcome to local food. It's a hole in the wall type place where locals wait in line for food. Their famous furikake garlic chicken absolutely did not disappoint. Receiving the food took some time, nearly 45 minutes with what I'd say was average busyness. My wife and I were really hungry so the wait seemed... More

This small local style restaurant is located in the old industrial area of Kailua-Kona, a few blocks from Ali'i Drive. Generous portions and homestyle local food such as half pound loco moco (hamburger and egg over rice smothered in gravy), lechon kawali (crispy pork belly), Hawaiian plate, and even Filipino Dinuguan (pork blood stew). The smoked meat and braised short... More

This is a local dive with really tasty chicken. Some of the best I have ever tasted with a great spicy dipping sauce It is primarily a take out place with about 6 tables for eating in. Really friendly wait staff and great people watching

Based on both a recommendation from the captain of our dive boat and the trip advisor reviews, we stopped here for lunch after a long morning diving. Wow was the food good! We had: - Broke da moth's famous garlic furikake chicken (fried, slightly sweet, yum) - pork adobo - Broke da mouth's 'animal style' bacon cheeseburger - kimchee fried... More

We just arrived from the mainland and this was the first place we ate at for wonderful local food. We had Adobo pork over fries, furikake fried chicken with mac salad and rice, Hawaiian plate with lau lau, Kailua pork, rice, and lomi lomi salmon. What a welcome feast we had to fill our stomachs.

Had to do some googling to find them but worth it. The braised beef is tender and so flavorful. Kim Chee rice was flavorful but 2 scoops was a bit much for me. Mac salad so-so. Teri beef tasty but a bit tough. Not a place for a first date but a place for good chow. One of the best... More
