First the pluses: Musicians and dancers and costumes were excellent, as far as I can judge. And the food that we got was jummy. It‘s open air at the shore. Though I don‘t know what would have happened, had it rained... The hula lesson was...More

My friends and I had a great time at the Island Breeze Luau. The Fairmont and Island Breeze put on a great show with fire, dancing and plenty of food. The food was good, the atmosphere was energizing and I would recommend this to you....More

A wonderful experience. We had a great time. Very organized, good food, wonderful show. We would recommend this show. Loved the water entry of the performers. There was lots to do for the kids including hula lessons. They really made us feel like family.

These people know how to put on a show, and the hotel does a great job in putting on a feast. For a night you'll never forget, take in this show by one of the top groups anywhere.

The show was good, the food was good, the staff were engaging and helpful, however we expected more. Last year in Kauai, we attended the Smith Family Luau, and were very happy with the tour, history and after dinner show. Even though they ran out...More

We are so apologetic for your disappointing experience at the luau. While most evenings in Kona are clear and beautiful, there will be occasions when the rain will fall. In such cases, we encourage our guests to contact Island Breeze Productions directly to convey your...More

I’ve been to 3 other luaus and this one failed to make the top 3. Virtually everything was mediocre. The check in process was slow & unorganized, the food & drink marginal, the staff bored & disinterested and the entertainment was just so-so. Not a...More

If you call the concierge desk directly, they will take care of you. They gave us a kama'aina discount. We sat right by the stage and hit the buffet first. Drink station as well.

Description
Guests of the Island Breeze Luau will be amazed with a display of authentic Polynesian activities, cuisine, and performances. Island Breeze Luau, located in right on the edge of the ocean of the King Kamehameha Hotel is rated the best lu'au on the Big Island by kama'aina (local residents)visitors and travel writers. The luau begins with a lei greeting and picture taking. An open bar, arts and crafts await you. The imu (traditional underground oven) ceremony, is also a part of the exciting beginning to your Island Breeze ohana (family). There are many ways to participate in the luau activities: weave a coconut frond, learn how to open a coconut, learn the art of hula, get a Polynesian tattoo, and take the time to meet and talk to some of the performers.
