Nothing to write home about but Tripadvisor will do... I had probably the worse mill which was due in part from my lack of understanding of what I ordered. I tried to finish choking it down for the sake of not wasting. It was some...More

Stopped in between hikes at nearby Joshua Tree National Park. Loved the food, service and value. We almost didn't go in because it looked deserted but a friendly man opened the door and welcomed us. Such a pleasure to find my favorite foods in this...More

Who would have imagined such a excellent restaurant masquerading as a common falafel joint-kebab house in this small desert town. Traditional dishes were moist and flavorful, Baba ganoush, hummus, lentil soup (get the pureed), salad. Dinner special 3 pen-raised quail, moist, marinated over night, with...More

I loved everything almost about this place - the people were great, the food, excellent. The only problems wer the fluorescent lighting and the fact that they used so much plastic.

The back approach to the restaurant (it has a front door as well) through its parking lot and past the kitchen and store is unprepossessing - but don't be put off by initial appearances. The restaurant in owned by an ex-US marine with Iranian origins...More

Walked in for dinner, quickly seated and served. Server was very nice. The house salads were good, the lentil soup a little thin, my husband enjoyed his gyro and my 9 yo loved the mac and cheese. I had the vegetarian platter which good, lots...More

1st: I've eaten my fair share of gyro, shawarma, falafel, hummus, etc. around the world. Just wanted to give myself some credibility here when I say this. The gyro here is the best I've EVER had. It's cut thick straight off the spit, roasted and...More

Since I come from LA I have some expertise in middle-eastern cuisine, even if I just count Zankou Chicken as my main source! But I do love a great shawarma, especially chicken...the Palm Kabob house offers a kind of shredded something, it's definitely chicken but...More

Based upon positive reviews, we tried it and found that it exceeded our expectations. The flavors were really nice, portions were substantive, and it felt like you were their friend. Chicken shwarma, falafel wrap and a veggie platter with grilled flavors shining through on fresh...More

Description
An unexpected find in an out-of-the-way place. The entry point for Joshua Tree National Park, 29 Palms is also known for its Marine base. For some reason, Middle-Eastern folks who really know how to cook have landed there. They serve plenty of kabobs, kafta & shawarma; we stuck with the vegetarian food: lemon lentil soup, roasted cauliflower salad, and the absolutely best stuffed grape leaves I've ever eaten. Easy to say, I know, but seriously, these people understand how to spice food in a way that's both subtle and complex. A very satisfying meal.
