Visiting from California and were fortunate to find this place still serving breakfast despite what egregiously late-risers we were that morning.. This place was a pleasure. All the desired breakfast staples, a steady flow of coffee, and a pleasant family breakfast in the hexagonal little sunroom they have.. Plenty of seating. And Misty was the absolute best. :) Great service,... More

Wouldn't go back. Eggs and hash browns tasted like it was cooked in old oil. Never got a refill on ice tea and waitress never checked to see if ever thing was alright.

We stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning and noticed right away that the locals were there in mass which is usually a good sign. We were seated right away and our waitress had our coffee cups filled while we were looking over the menu. The selections offered are the typical small town café nothing exotic just good basic... Steak sandwich was not edible! Could barely cut it and chewing was impossible! Not clean and hard to get attention. Prices are high for generic food.

There were few restaurants open during the winter in Keystone, and we were headed south, so we stopped in Custer to find a cafe for breakfast. The 'Wrangler Family Dining' restaurant (aka Wrangler Cafe) seemed perfect for our needs. Nothing fancy, just good old, American breakfast fare. Knowing it would be hours and many miles before lunch, we were glad... More

In January there are not a lot of choices in Custer. The Wrangler was open and we had breakfast there two different days. It seems to be a popular spot with the locals. Prices were reasonable and restaurant staff was friendly.

Stayed nearby at The Chief Motel so it seemed the obvious choice to try the Wrangler for breakfast. The food is really good especially the hash and also loved the sausage egg and cheese texas toast - it was very filling too. Our servers were friendly and they supplied a never ending stream of coffee. Very good value too.

The senior menu is a good deal. I had two pancakes and two strips of bacon for next to nothing. The food, price, and service were all good. The restaurant has a new interior and was very clean.

Interestingly, many of Custer's restaurants and cafes are closed for the season even though it is the second half of October. Fortunately for us the Wrangler Cafe was still open. We came here for breakfast. I had the corned beef hash. My wife had eggs, bacon and a pancake. The food was quite good along with coffee. Our server made... More

We enjoyed a hearty and tasty breakfast here - it proved to give us the fuel to summit Harney Peak with our 5 and 7 year olds. A friendly gentleman who seemed to be a regular helped the busy waitress by filling our coffee for us every few minutes.
