My husband and I were meeting someone in Jackson Square and had some time to spare so we decided to eat lunch at Stanley's, So glad we did...we had the best rice and red beans in the world. Sorry to say the milk shake I ordered was like drinking chocolate milk. The staff was pleasant and gave us a little... More

This is my fav spot for awesome breakfast brunch or lunch after experiencing the best that NOLA has to offer the night before. Busting at the seams with cool vibes and authentic flavor. Ashely our regular server makes it feel like we are hanging at our best friends house for the weekend. Bring a cute guy with you to pick... More

The food was mediocre at best. This place is a tourist rip off. It has great placement and that is about all it had. The food is assembly line. You will not find an omelette here.

This place was recommended to me by one of my friends. I walked into this restaurant and all I saw was the chalkboard menu with a couple items listed. I ordered the oyster and shrimp poor boy. The sand which was decent - bread was soft and fresh, however I felt the sandwich lacked a little bit of sauce. After... More

Had breakfast at Stanley this morning. Since so many French Quarter eateries are hit or miss...I was happy to find the food at Stanley to be what I'd call a safe bet. It's simple cuisine that's prepared quickly and served in a nice, friendly environment. It's not terribly expensive... by French Quarter standards...my wife and I managed to get two... More

The breakfast at Restaurant Stanley was actually quite diverse and pleasant. The coffee was great and the hot chocolate was maybe one of the best hot chocolates I've had! It comes with cream, but even without the cream it was really tasty. The "Stanley Classic" meal appealed to the 4 other people in my party and they all enjoyed it.... More

We had had gumbo here in February and were really in the mood for it again. Had gumbo and split a po boy. Very nice meal, late lunch avoided the usual crowds so service excellent. Enjoyed!

We are former residents and frequent visitors to New Orleans. We saw some strong write ups on Stanley and it is a great location, but the food was not even close to a good New Orleans breakfast. I feel I waisted calories here and will not return. Stay to the proven at the old Coffee Pot!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
