Hubby found this place on Thrillist.com, checked out the reviews on TA & off we went. It's a decent walk from the French Quarter, but well doable & pleasant enough during the day - through the Marigny district. We got there around 2pm on Friday & there was no line. Hubby knew exactly what to order (walk up to the... More

This is meat with a capital M. This really looks like a fast food joint but it is definitely worth the wait and try. We were tipped by a local and were grateful for this great dining experience.

This little gem is a must!!! Best BBQ I've ever had in my life. We got there right at opening and there was already a line. Food arrived fast and it was reasonably priced. I had a pulled pork sand which with a side of potato salad ( best ever) he had two meats ( pulled pork and brisket )... More

Soooo, we were visiting NOLA for the first time. My daughter is a Foodie and avid follower of Guy Fieri and his DD&D show. So my daughter insisted we eat at this place. Welllll, first of all - it moved. We took a taxi to the address on the show from the French Quarter. THANK GOD WE DIDNT WALK because... More

We ventured away from the tourist area to visit The Joint. It's in a cute neighborhood and has that neighborhood feel. On their patio locals were dining with their pooches. My hubby and I shared a combo platter. Brisket was our fav. The beans very tasty. Don't skip dessert. We shared the key lime pie and peanut butter pie. So... More

I am BBQ lover, but I am picky. I have not found really great BBQ in New Orleans, but this is good. The meats are smoked and tasty and the sides are good too. Plus it has the atmosphere of a good old southern BBQ joint.

Their slogan is "We're always smoken." The Joint. Get it? This place does it right, therefore they are packed much of the time. The joint was one of the first restaurants in the resurgence of The Bywater. Give it a try.

The Joint was a wow factor for my wife and I. This is the real thing....BBQ that is smoked. The ribs and brisket were out of this world and the sauce was really good. The baked beans were dynamite, the Mac and cheese was mediocre. The prices were fantastic for what you got and we are already talking about going... More

Looking for a genuine BBQ restaurant the Joint came highly recommended. We were not disappointed. The food was served quickly and cordially. We had mixed meat platters and they were fantastic. Really good flavoured meat and the ribs were full of texture and taste. Washed down with local draught beer this was an excellent and great value experience.

Found The Joint on yelp and it was worth the little drive out of the Quarter. People were super nice and the BBQ fell of the bones. Great little place for a change of pace for the afternoon.
