Sorry but I must tell it like it is. This little cafe was right across the street from our Hotel. No decaf coffee at all. The food was poor to average and I see no reason to ever return since there are so many great...More

We were in the neighbourhood... we were cold...and this coffee place not only showed up for comfort on Tripadvisor, but also twice in our Frommer's New Orleans day by day tourist guide. So we had high expectations. We were disappointed. The setting is actually pretty...More

My favorites are the Royale brioche (with rum raisins and almond paste), and the frangipane. Everything is solid, but nothing really stands out.

A visit to Le Croissant d'Or is like being in France, but not. It is definitely New Orleans. The vegetable quiche is lovely, as is the almond scone. Don't miss the cafe latte, although au lait is good, too.

What was once a dependable place to get good French pastries in an historic setting (original Angelo Brocatto location) has really gone downhill. Everything, and I mean everything, was grimey and in desperate need of a good scrub. Tables were not bussed, either. Food was...More

We went in anticipation of a great breakfast. We ordered a quiche lorraine, a spinich quiche and a cheese danish. The quiches were undercooked, soggy pastry, not helped by micro-wave treatment, smellie and probably not fresh. The danish was soggy and stodgy. We notice a...More

My husband loves bakeries and we were singularly unimpressed by this one. We will not be visiting it again.

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great

around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the
