This place is just a few blocks from the Garden District and I believe it makes a great lunch stop. It has a bar on one side and a restaurant on the other. This is a locals type, no frills establishment that makes some great...More

It's a little on the grungy side, but the food is great. They had the largest po-boys I saw or had while in New Orleans. Good craft beer selection in cans, no draft beer.I had half oyster, half catfish po-boy, and onion rings. I could...More

I live here in the Garden District & when I crave roast beef pronouns, I'd go nowhere else. The place looks like a dive, but you can't beat the food! One Poboy easily feeds two. No kidding.

A dive featured on tv. Ok food...good onion rings. Guess I am not a fan of poboys...but to one who loves them you'd probably like this place. Kinda dirty. Doesn't look like it has been cleaned or cared for in years....like i said, a one...More

Had been on our places to re-visit list for years. Ownership has changed. Po-boy bread was great, service was just ok, fried seafood and sides were average. Not high on our list to return

Head to the Garden District for the full-on New
Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking
streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions,
picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded
down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful
churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a
brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the

Born in 1952, in the Irish Channel neighborhood, Parasol's is a New Orleans tradition that is known as THE place to go for roast beef po boys, and a huge St. Patricks Day block party. We are a neighborhood bar to the world, where everyone is welcome and treated like an old friend. Our kitchen is dedicated to taking old school New Orleans food to a new level of flavor and quality. Belly up to the old Irish bar and enjoy a pint of Guiness or wander upstairs to our smoke free dining room. You can indulge in our delicious food either way. Parasol's is a throw back to a simpler time when the social life of the neighborhood centered around the corner bar. A place where the stuff of life is discussed, celebrated and even mourned. At Parasol's it's all about you !
