Went after a parade. Service was very slow and the food was mediocre. Waitress seemed confused. Wouldn't go again.

Food was outstanding, and staff is friendly, prompt, and attentive. We ate at the bar, and Donald took excellent care of us while shelling oysters for all the patrons at the bar -- up to 1,500 oysters per shift! Highly recommend this place -- we went there three times during our visit.

Searched out for this bar because we wanted to go again. My husband and I first went to this quaint bar and restaurant about 2 years and it was exactly as if was when we pulled up to the bar for a late night dozen oysters and drink. Love it. The look. The feel. The staff. The location. Great place.

This is a must while in NOLA. Fresh sandwiches and some of the best beignets ever. Skip the tourists beignets, these are authentic. Try the coffee a French roast with chicory. Next time in the French Quarters give this gem a try! Great are for photos and not on Bourbon Street. Located on Royal.

Had amazing shrimp balls on a mushroom base. Amazing sea food tortellini and charcoal oysters. They served a nice Argentinian Malbec wine. Place itself is not special but food Was really good:

This is an upscale (but not extremely high end) restaurant and oyster bar. The food is consistently excellent and they make great drinks. I've been there twice with my husband alone, twice for lunch by myself, and once for dinner with my husband and two teens...all times the food was fantastic. Pretty atmosphere, classy part of town.

They have really very good food, and happy hours every day from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Gambo is good, but my favorite is Banana split Ice cream, they fry banana and then burn it in rum and poor it over vanilla ice cream in front of you - mmmmm.... tasty.

Have eaten here several times, and every meal has been good. My wife eats fish and I always have some sort of shellfish combination. The drinks and wine are good also

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
