Had an early dinner here and people were lining up to get in on a Thurs night. We were lucky as we went early and did not have to wait for a table. The place is small but the food is down home southern cooking....More

Thanks for joining us for dinner on Thursday! It's wonderful that our gumbo and meatloaf could impress, Karen -- hope to see you and your husband back next time you're visiting Frenchmen Street. All the best, Curtis, Owner

We stayed about three blocks from Praline Connection and wanted to try it out. I'm glad we did. I enjoyed my poboy sandwich very much along with my wife's shrimp etouffee. The gumbo that she had here was not to her liking as much as...More

After jumpin' around with the tunes on Frenchmen St -- had to handle our big appetites -- right on the corner was PRALINE CONNECTION -- happened to be NO LINE -- so, in we went!! Chicken dish -- poboys -- quick service and if you...More

You and your wallet are very welcome, Stew. Glad you had a chance to try out our Cajun fare while on Frenchmen Street -- hearing just how much you enjoyed things is music to my ears! All the best, Curtis, Owner

Not disappointed in the food, because we couldn't get seated. This is the very first place I recommend to people when I'm asked for suggestions. I've left great reviews before, but today it's different. We walked WAY out of our way to eat here. We...More

I do apologize for how things played out, Michelle, especially since you enjoyed dining with us in the past. I am unsure of when exactly you came in, but it seems that the rest of the party were on their way and had already placed...More

Its been years since we've been back to New Orleans. This was recommended by the driver on one of our sight seeing trips. I'm glad we went. It's just outside the French Quarter and the price was less than some of the other restaurants inside...More

Stopped in here and enjoyed it. Had the chicken livers and pepper jelly, tasty. Good greens and cornbread. Large portions and good prices.

For a soul food place...this was a disappointment. The cornbread was decent. Veggies were soggy, watered down and gumbo tasted like day old food. Tasteless and not reflective of the rich flavorful cruisine of NOLA. Very disappointed.More

Believe me, Cheryl, I'm just as disappointed. Since 1990, we've been about providing rich and flavorful Cajun food -- that attention to detail should have shined through with your gumbo and veggies. If there was anything off, my team would have addressed it if you...More

Great soul food/home-cooking. Best fried chicken anywhere. Absolutely worth the trip to the East side of the French Quarter, and onto Frenchmen St. A must-stop on every visit.

The atmosphere was nice, but the food was not. The people I traveled with enjoyed their food, me on the other hand, hmm, NOT. Listen, I only ordered sides and they were not tasty. All of the sides taste old. Again, everyone else enjoyed the...More

This place is quite simple and not pretentious. The food is good, however, it is very heavy comfort food made with lots of butter. The Cornbread is delicious. I also really like the fried chicken and mac and cheese. My husband had meatloaf and said...More
