We ate here for dinner one night. It was some of the best collard greens I have ever tasted. There was a customer who thought they were so good, he drank the remaining juice (pot liquor for Southern Folk). I would highly recommend the fried...More

We visited this resturant near closing so maybe the service was lacking due to the time. The food was simply okay-not impressive. Customer service was good (not our waitress but the staff was great). I would come back to see if my experience differs from...More

Stopped in after seeing a show at d.b.a. Had fried chicken and red beans and rice. The fried chicken was a B+. Not Willie Mae's good, but solid. The red beans and rice side dish, however, was bland, and the last thing food in New...More

I'm glad our chicken satisfied your cravings, but I think we can do better. Next time, please let us know if your beans are bland -- we'd be happy to spice them up and make them perfect! We know we can do better, and we...More

Was looking for some down home cooking and stumbled upon this place while walking down Frenchman. Loved all the eats - we did a combo with fried chicken, ribs, catfish, greens, red beans & rice, cornbread, gumbo, and mac & cheese. Mac was so-so but...More

This was a cute little place on the corner. My sister and I had ribs for our entrees. The ribs were so tender, the meat fell right off the bones. But they were very spicy due the black pepper used in the sauce. She had...More

This food was prepared with LOVE!!!! I'm a very picky eater but I must say I was pleased and I tried a few things I don't typically eat. The chicken, fish, and ribs were succulent. I wish I could kidnap the cook. Lol

Highly recommend! My husband and I took a road trip up the coast this past week and this was our first restaurant to try. It's a smaller setting, but we soon found out that most of the places in New Orleans are that way. We...More

Went here for our first authentic deep south meal and weren't disappointed. Some delicious deep fried chicken with red beans, jambalaya and spicy sausage, and meat loaf. Seemed very authentic. Nice service too

We almost overlooked this restaurant, thinking it was just pralines, but it was great! The red beans and rice, shrimp etouffee, and cornbread were all excellent! I also had a frozen hurricane, which was very tasty.
