“World famous Mulate’s” has to be famous for being next to the convention center, but not much else. The food here is mediocre and the service is slow and unfriendly. The price is high for what one gets and the atmosphere leaves a lot to...More

Had a small bowl of crawfish etouffee and side salad. Etouffee was delicious. Salad was lacking, but hey who’s in New Orleans for the salad. Warm bread pudding was yummy! The huge portion too

Food was disappointing. Extremely slow service. We told them 3 times we need two separate receipts. We got (of course) one. Then we remind them we needed 2. We had to wait 10 minutes more, and we got an extra "service" of 5 dollars each...More

Cajun sampler is huge and a great way to sample alligator and frog legs if you you dare. Live music was great, watching people dance was entertaining. Nice place for lunch or dinner near the convention center.

This is a good option for local cuisine. The food is good with an ample selection of local dishes. Great atmosphere when there is live music.

The food was great and the prices were good. A band was playing, so there was lots of dancing and fun times. Service was decent and friendly.

Had snacks and drinks at the bar with a large group. I got to sample all snacks and all were good - the mini meat pies, gumbo, etouffee, jambalaya!

Enjoy Cajun and more at this comfortable restaurant in the Arts District and near downtown. The Redfish special was enhanced with a delicious cream sauce and twice baked potato. All of our party were pleased with their entrees. We were there for a late lunch...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts

Any of the above but you might want to do appetizers with drinks. Most people will have dinner then stay for The evening to watch the dancing.
