Stopped in here for lunch and really enjoyed my meal of Red Beans and Rice and then a bowl of Seafood Gumbo. This is an older building with a lot of character - the staff if somewhat friendly - I asked for a different table...More

A block from the HILTON and river, this large old building contains delicious and reasonably priced food. At 8 a band strikes up and locals hit the dance floor—they even ask you to join them and learn the steps. Terrific experience —don’t miss it.

This place needs to step it up a notch with so many other options nearby. The food isn't bad at all, just so so.

This is my favorite place to eat in New Orleans. We dined here on a Saturday evening. They do not take reservations during the weekend, but we got there around 6:00 PM and our party of seven was seated right away. It filled up shortly...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts

Any of the above but you might want to do appetizers with drinks. Most people will have dinner then stay for The evening to watch the dancing.
