Looking for your dinner to be prepared by a top rated chef and not be an assembly line meal? Louisiana Bistro is your place. The restaurant is small with a few tables. If you get the 'Feed Me' Option you will get to meet and visit with the Chef. If not, you still will receive excellent bayou cuisine. We did... More

1. The 3-course "feed me" option gets you 3 small plates of menu items chosen for you by chef. You could have a full entree and 2 appetizers for the same money. There is no customizing based on diners' preferences, and you leave hungry. 2. Crab salad listed as dinner entree was consisted of some greens and spoonful of crabmeat... More

I'm glad my 2 girlfriends and I gave this restaurant a try and not paid attention to the bad review. Everything we ordered was fantastic! We got the filet mignon, fried green tomatoes, gumbo, pork chops, strawberry spinach salad and cream cheese ice cream. Our drinks and service was excellent. Hats off to chef Wells!

First clue. Outside was crazy with prep for Marci Gras and we were the only couple inside. Waiter was weird at best and could have been in the Addams! Music was completely inappropriate for a romantic restaurant and although they tried to change it after we complained it kept reverting to radio. Food ok but everything else subpar. For the... More

So we rocked up to Louisiana Bistro on something of a whim. We'd passed it the previous day, seen the menu in the window and thought it looked nice. So many places were closed that night, so we thought again of the Louisiana Bistro; when we went back to see if it was open, we were almost suprised to find... More

Wow. Thank you Justin and Sam for such a great dinner and excellent service! We came here on recommendation and were impressed. Small and intimate with impeccable service. We had a jambalaya app, my husband had duck, and I had drum. We had crème bruelle for dessert, which was so good! I stuck my head in the back and told... More

Due to the good reviews this place receives, it has been on my to-try list for some time. I tried it on a Saturday night in October. It wasn't busy, which was great, Got sat right away. The service was extremely slow and not attentive. The food was mediocre at best. I had the BBQ shrimp which was just bland.... More

We let the chef select our meal for us. The food was fantastic. It started with a Andouille sausage and shrimp appetizer. This was followed by flash fried oysters, over spinach. A perfectly cooked lamp chop with tangy Bar-B-Que sauce served with mashed potatoes was followed by grilled pork chop over greens. All in all a great meal.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
