Shrimp Po'boy was big, fresh, and crispy. Good sandwich and able to share. Add some Zapp's chips and a soda or beer and you've got a quick tasty lunch. Fancy - no. But should a sandwich be fancy? No.

We went there for lunch specifically because we have never had a Bo-Boy. We got the 'Johnny's Special'. (Beef). It was awesome. $10.95 and $3.90 for tea. Very tasty sandwich. You order at a counter and wait for 3-5 minutes for your number and sit...More

I had the sausage and my daughter had the club. Both were delicious. There is more seating in the back.

Popped in for a Shrimp po boy and was not disappointed, was packed out and had to wait for a seat, was so worth it though.

My wife wanted to have a po-boy here and give it a try. We shared one as these are not my thing. It was alright.

We always get a roast beef po boy and Johnny's and a fried shrimp po boy and split them. I was disappointed this time. Usually the roast beef is quite thick on the bun-this time there was one layer. At $10.95 plus $.60 to dress...More

My family & I LOVE these po-boys! Such a great flavor and definitely worth the wait. If you don't want to wait for a space to sit (often crowded), feel free to take it with you and sit outside near the Vieux Carre.

Walk up to the counter and order. Seating in front and rear of the restaurant. Open BF and L to 4:30. Authentic poboy. 12 types. Worth the wait. Do not panic. People who eat here eat and leave. Not good go strollers. Mostly tourists. Grand...More

I would highly recommend getting the shrimp po-boy. Perfectly fried and delicious. The alligator sausage was not as good but still a decent meal. The gumbo was surprisingly the best gumbo I had in NOLA. Came complete with half a crab

We were trying to find breakfast and not spend $25/plate. Stumbled across Johnny's by accident. The 4 of us ordered the same breakfast plate for $6.50. It took quite a while to get out food. The place was 2/3 full. They have about a dozen...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty

Ugg. They need to get rid of the styrofoam in their restaurant. Not environmentally friendly. 😟
