Small, quaint, quasi-eclectic restaurant with friendly staff. Food cooked to order with great taste, and served in a very timely manner. Adequate seating with local art hanging on walls. Pleasant, soothing atmosphere, with a view of people watching. A definite stop to eat while in the Big Easy. Stop by and say "hi" to Jerek....he'll take care of you!!

We stumbled upon this little treasure on our way around the French Quarter. Sweet little place with a good soundtrack and the best grits!

We visited Eat New Orleans the morning before we embarked on a cruise. Staying off of Rampart Street, we stumbled across this little jewel and had to check it out. The food was absolutely delicious! All four of us absolutely loved what we had! I highly recommend picking up a three dollar bottle of their boutique hot sauce before you... More

As a frequent traveler to New Orleans, it is difficult to visit the same restaurant every time. There are just too many wonderful choices. EXCEPT for 1 exception. We always have Brunch either Saturday or Sunday at EAT. We walk down 1 block and get a double bloody mary at Lafitte bar. Then we stand in line to eat at... More

What a pleasant surprise! We had our 'last supper' (after eating our way through New Orleans for a few days) at EAT and it was perfect. BYOB and we were able to carry on a conversation too.

One of the best meals we had in the FQ. The stuffed peppers were fantastic. It's a byob with no corkage fee for the first bottle which helps keep the bill reasonable.

We unfortunately could not dine at that place because of the poor service from the staff. We did not know we had to bring their drink, the person who took our order was extremely rude, and never told us that we could go and buy the wine elsewhere. They did not help us with the entrance door that can not... More

This was a nice place for breakfast. We were the only table the late morning we arrived so service was very good. Our waiter was friendly and answered all our questions. My husband ordered the bagels and lox. It came with generous portions of lox and fruit. I ordered the omelette with goat cheese and ham. We both thought our... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
