We were waiting for the Joan of Arc parade and with temps in 30's we popped in for a light snack/dinner and drink. The Sazerac was excellent, the jambalaya was a little dry while tasty and the alligator sausage Po-boy was good. The service was friendly. It is an interesting building.

Found this restaurant while just walking around and checking our the site of the city. Passed once, viewed menu and found prices to be very reasonable and once we realized that there was a courtyard in the back, we were sold. Loved, loved the atmosphere. We chose the charcutery plate and split a muffaletta and with the$ 5.00 glasses of... More

Napoleon House was not on my list of restaurants to try, but I was hungry! Looked at the menu, it was very cheap compared to most other places. I admired the building and its historical charm. The building itself just looks cool, the inside was just as historical looking. I loved the atmosphere here. I came for dinner and ordered... More

We stopped in for lunch during Sugar Bowl weekend after reading about the history of the building occupied by the Cafe. For convenience, we sat and ate in the bar area. The bartender was completely unengaged with the customers. Not friendly or receptive at all for a reputable dining spot. We enjoyed the atmosphere but can't rate higher due to... More

If you've never enjoyed a Pimm's Cup, it's time, and this is the place. The Napoleon House is charming, and the muffaletta's aren't as good as the Central Grocery's, but it's still a "must visit" on every trip to NOLA.

Friends recommended a stop in just for a Pimms, but I stayed for lunch. Was a nice break from shopping through the French Quarter. Will be back some day with others to sample all the menu items.

Stopped here for a quick lunch and ended up having the best muffuletta and Pimm's cups ever! When ordering the muffuletta, keep in mind that a quarter will most likely be enough for one person. We ordered the whole portion for two people and couldn't finish it. You do not need reservations. We walked right in around noon. The service... More

Home of the Pimms cup (definitely give it a try!), Napoleon House has a Rich history and a traditional NOLA menu! The muffuletta here is grilled... the cheese nice and toasted with fresh light bread and the traditional fixings! AMAZING! We also enjoyed the red beans and rice. Excellent smoky flavor! They were so good. Their classical music playing in... More

We just stopped by for a quick drink and I can't recommend the Pimm's Cup enough! It was delicious! The atmosphere was so cool. It definitely feels like an old bar. I'm sure it would be great for dinner or lunch as well.

We all had to try the muffalettas which is Italian meats on a sesame roll with an olive dressing. The service was good. They gave us bells that they put around our neck. A quarter sandwich is probably enough for one person.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
