Lucky Dogs can be found in many locations around New Orleans, its a hot dog cart. Large hot dogs, and good. Beware no relish.

You all may or may not agree, due to the fact that New Orleans has so many excellent eating establishments, but you need to try grabbing a couple of hot dogs & sodas @ a Lucky Dog food cart near Jackson Square. It is so much fun to see so many people, look @ the artwork hanging on the wrought-iron... More

This is a great place to grab a great hot dog quickly. They have several choices and are located all over the city. Again great for a quick bite.

We enjoyed a couple of hot dogs for breakfast while waiting for our flight. I haven't eaten a hot dog in years o really cannot compare it to anything. It was a hot dog. Nothing special, but I heard these were a go to thing while in NOLA so that's what we did. I would grab one again in a... More

After an evening of walking around the French Quarter that included shopping, drinking, and people watching, we did not expect anything special from a hot dog cart. A dog wiith everything on it was fabulous and hit the spot.

A very simple hot dog stand with only three items on the menu (I visited it at the Harrahs Casino in New Orleans. Good for casino prices. The regular hot dog was $3.95 with toppings including really good chili (cheese was 55 cents more). Then they have a 1/4 pound hot dog and a 1/4 pound sausage dog for $5.95.... More

I was at the Harrah's Casino and seen the Lucky Dogs, I've never have heard of them. I would go past the lucky dog stand and it always seemed busy so I figured I would try one. I wasn't disappointed , they steam the bun and the hotdog was huge for 3.95 plus tax. They have chilli, cheese, relish, onion... More

I was told by a local to only eat the lucky dogs from harrahs casino because the hot dog carts on the streets of the French quarter are ran by homeless people and not regulated.

Ok we were hesitant but the company has the market on Bourbon St and so they must have a standard. We each bought one and they were delicious! Yes real beef and fresh bun. Your choice of toppings including chili ... so no worries the vendors are great people too- very knowledgeable and know the area should you want correct... More

The lucky dog was great but the service was horrible. I ate at the Lucky Dog in Harrahs and the girl ran out of regular hot dogs so she told the patron in front of me he'd have to wait ten minutes for her to steam more which he did. She waited ten minutes and then made his four hot... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
