Decided to try this restaurant during a visit to NOLA. The restaurant happened to be near my hotel. What a pleasant surprise this restaurant turned out to be. Sushi was fresh and the restaurant offered other Japanese items that were also delicious. Prices were high, but it's what you expect from a good sushi joint.

It was all good, the pork belly lettuce wrap was out of this world but the "Foi Dat" wins for creativity. Great place, great prices, fun vibe (a little loud, but that was a part of the atmosphere). Go and enjoy! Another plus: its NOT on Bourbon Street; Fulton Street is low key warehouse district area near the convention center.

Close to the convention center. We walked from the French quarter. Bar on one side and restaurant on the other. Felt like I was in a club or Vegas type atmosphere. I love Eel. Basically nonexistent on the menu. Weird variety of rolls. Like they are trying to reinvent the wheel. Bathroom was very small and you couldn't help but... More

we stopped here after the parades on Saturday for a late night dinner. Overall, the restaurant provides a nice atmosphere that is lively and relaxing. The food is decent - a nice variety of sushi but thats about it. If you dont like sushi, this is not the place for you We had ordered the brussel sprouts which were decent... More

Whether it is for lunch or dinner, you will not be disappointed. The Triple S roll will not disappoint. One Friday I went for lunch and then brought my family back for dinner. Triple S roll both times. Dinner is pretty loud and almost seems like a techno dance club, but I don't care. That's how good the sushi is!

Stopped in for dinner recently and was surprised it was quite busy for a Wednesday night. Rockn'Sake is in kind of an obscure location. Not in a super busy area in the Warehouse District of New Orleans. My friend and I were seated immediately and service started off really strong. The server was knowledgeable and did a huge spiel on... More

Came with a local and it was great! Tuna nachos on point! Rolls were amazing. Specialty drinks were amazing. Service was fast and server was a big help in ordering. If downtown, don't miss this spot!

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
