When we lived in New Orleans — not far from Mandina's in Mid-City — this was one of our go-to places for wonderful seafood meals. We were happy to discover on a recent trip back to the city that it hasn't changed a bit. It's...More

Mandina's has an excellent menu and I decided on Softshell Crab this time out. Over cooked and a bit hard to chew and its savory taste was lost to me.

Personally I, nor the wife, found it as good as it was pre-Katrina. We used to go quite regularly since we both work in the vicinity, (now live out of state), but something has changed, so we probably won't be going back.

Based on the Trip Advisor reviews, we went on a Sunday night and, despite a large crowd waiting (they take reservations only for parties of 6 or more) we were seated within 10 minutes. Unfortunately, that and the excellent service we received, were the best...More
