People who still are afraid to go to New Orleans for fear of the Katrina hurricane should stop the madness. New orleans, or Narlins as we say is better than ever! The French quarter was not really damaged by the hurricane and is constantly being upgraded and renovated. Brennan's is a true gem of early Louisiana architecture and European charm.... More

I didn't have the best experience with the service, first off some issues from our reservation being made through open table. We decided to go for drinks at the bar till that got sorted out, but we still had some issues being seated. We ordered the strip, but the fillet seemed to be much better. It was a great steak,... I didn't have a chance to dine at the restaurant but the (bubbly) happy hour at the Rooster Bar is great. Delicious sparkling wine based drinks for $7 are definitely worth it and the ambiance is amazing. Service was great as well each time I visited.

Brennan's is a rare treat. Our dinner was one of the best we had in New Orleans. I started with the Jackson salad (recommended) followed by the poisson blange, which was the best fish I had anywhere in a city where great seafood is available everywhere. My wife had the filet of beef Stanley and said it was excellent--she particularly... More

This is the second visit in a row that we’ve had a reservation for 6:00 pm (when the restaurant opens) but haven’t been seated and service begun until 6:30 pm. Once service did begin, it went well on both occasions as one would expect at a top New Orleans restaurant. Likewise, the food is first rate. On balance, the experience... More

Beautiful restaurant, great location, delicious food. Unfortunately, the waitstaff was not as attentive as it should be in a restaurant this caliber, and that's why the rating is only three stars. We had to ask for a wine list, and then flag down our waitress again to order the bottle we wanted. By the time it arrived, we were almost... More

Amazing dishes, incredible deserts and stunning Location. I had the local dish of Amondi red fish, Russian River Chardonnay from California, their famous banana foster AND the chocolate flourless cake. 5 Stars. 10/10! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You are in good hands at Brennan's. My friend and I went there for lunch on a Friday. We were given a great seat by the front window. All staff were very polite and helpful. I have a gluten intolerance and asked the waitress which items I could order--she immediately rattled off the numerous choices. I had the Eggs Nouvelle... More

We were invited here by a friend for a traditional New Orleans brunch and it did not disappoint. Started with the best Bloody Mary I have ever tasted, with Cajun spices. I work in the drinks industry and this was superb. Brunch food was great and service was impeccable.

Outstanding for brunch. A New Orleans classic. Get the bananas foster! It is a bit pricey but worth the price. The menu has a nice selection.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
