I had the Eggs Elizabeth but went with a group of people so got to try a little bit of everything. You can't make a bad choice. Everything was delicious. French toast burrito, shrimp & grits and Eggs Florentine were all incredible. We tried the boudin balls as an appetizer and they were good as well. The grits were the... More

Great little restaurant! We have enjoyed breakfast there a few times, but during this trip we went for dinner. Can't say enough positive things about the staff; they are so friendly and accommodating. On this trip we had the following; Corn bread Fried green tomatoes Praline bacon Steak which was cooked to perfection Sides we chose were the green beans... More

We got a recommendation from our tour guide to come to Elizabeth's. The praline bacon was great. I wasn't as impressed with the boudin balls or bananas fosters French toast. I think I was probably more in the mood for an egg breakfast. My wife enjoyed her fried green tomatoes Benedict. We come back and try some different things, but... More

Stopped in at this fun little breakfast place on Saturday morning. The wait staff is friendly and true hipsters which gave a great vibe. Praline bacon was delicious and they have the best Belgian waffle I've had in a while. Hash brown and grits are good. I didn't love my entree but everything else was excellent. I may just order... One of my fav breakfast spots in NOLA. A small place with big flavor and even bigger servings. Btw...their waffles and candied bacon are to die for😍

I walked six miles roundtrip to enjoy the Praline Bacon, and I would have crawled. Tucked away in Bywater, this neighborhood gem sparkles. I also had the fried green tomatoes with shrimp, which served as my main course and the bacon was my dessert. its worth a visit.

We had a great experience at Elizabeth's! It was the first time I could convince my husband to try catfish! The bayou breakfast and praline bacon were a treat! Loved It.

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
