A true taste of New Orleans. Our perfectly seasoned food was presented in a beautiful manner. Each dish was exquisite.

To my way of thinking, this is as good as NOLA food gets. Innovative, flavorful, not too rich. Great wine list. You can come casual or dressy depending on the occasion. Just one thing: try to eat outside if you can, it can get pretty noisy on the inside.

There is no shortage of great places to eat in New Orleans, but add this resturant to the list of "must-visit" experiences. I ordered the cornmeal encrusted fried oysters --- which were meaty and moist. The hot sauce (served on the side) was hot --- this was a wonderful appetizer. The others ordered the Gumbo, beet salad, and French fries... More

Have been coming here for years - never disappointing! The portion sizes are perfect and the dishes are prepared very well. The drum over rutabagas in a light butter sauce was excellent as the main course. THe cornmeal fried oysters as the appetizer was light and tasty.

This restaurant was great, we ate "small plates" which were a good size and very tasty! I would most certainly return.

Love the small plates at this intimate restaurant in the warehouse district. Creative cuisine including some NOLA standards with a twist.

We had a group of 16 and had to set up a limited option menu. Everything was outstanding. The soup had depths of flavor. My chicken was so juicy and full of flavor with a crisp thin chicken skin atop. Our bread pudding was a great finisher. The cocktails were inventive and the beer list was unique. Extensive wine list... More

Ambitious chefs are always trying for original tastes and dishes. Herbsaint generally delivers on both fronts. The crispy goat with cumin laced lentils is a winner. Expect lots of flavor bursts from veggie sides. Roasted beet starter really delivers.

I had been looking to return to Herbsaint after dining there a few years ago with friends. It was as delicious as ever. I was dining alone on a Saturday evening, so I arrived early enough to get a seat at the bar (which has 10 seats or so on a first come basis). I was treated very well by... More

Went on Rec of hotel. 4 of us each had different dishes and they were all excellent . We shared the short rib small plate with horseradish. Very tender. Probably would be better shared by two bc I wanted more. My shrimp callalloo was divine. I wanted to lick the dish clean. Fair warning, it does have okra for those... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
