Good service, not good food. There's so many excellent restaurants in New Orleans, the food here was not very good at all. We were disappointed.

You can do no better for a high end New Orleans meal. Excellent food, service and wines. We chose it for a very special occasion, and it lived up to our expectations.

Ate there twice last week for lunch. Great duck, andouille gumbo, crispy onion rings, .... and the list goes on. A must eat at place for a visit to the Big Easy.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is. The atmosphere is calm with a hint of excitement. Loved it so much ate there twice! Loved the greens salad and gumbo. The duck was so tender, but my favorite was the snapper. The first night I had the apple pie with ice cream, but my favorite was the second... More

We dined early since we were still on west coast time. It was a good thing since by 6pm on a Saturday night, the restaurant was completely full. It is a small room with seats outside, a few feet from the trolley that clangs by occasionally. We had no reservations, so got a seat outside and I was glad because... More

The Spaghetti Appetizer was outstanding. I've never tasted such rich creamy pasta. The fried poached egg added even more richness to this already unbelievable offering. My husband had the crab cake which was perfection. I had the shrimp entree and my husband the fish. Two more delightful dishes. Just when we thought this meal couldn't get any better, we ordered... Hersant might be a bit too noisy because it's always very crowded but the first time you'll test the food you'll understand why :-)) One of the best - and not too expensive - restaurants in New Orleans !!! Went there with a group of friends and all what we had was just excellent. If you want to be on... More

I had a special of the evening. Lamb Neck. Probably the best meal I have ever had. A coworker recommended it to me and wow! Delicious. This place is a must see when in Nola.

Herbsaint is a quaint more casual and modern approach to New Orleans dining. While I still enjoy more traditional eateries like Commander's Palace and Brennans, I found Herbsaint to be a nice culinary experience and good value. The menu is contemporary, with a farm to table fair, and classic New Orleans-French flavor. As with many farm to table style menus,... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
