Coming into the restaurant with a reservation (not needed, there were only about 8 tables of many taken), we didn't get a 'good evening' but were directly walked to our table. The girl with the red hair and glasses who took our drinks-order, was very...More

My girlfriend and I went for the Sunday jazz brunch! It was great! The atmosphere was very New Orleans and the music was great. The food was very good and the service was even better!

Staying in NO for one night, we wanted to eat at a nice restaurant but we had our 1 1/2 year old with us. Looking at the reviews online, we found Muriel's and we were so glad we did. We arrived a little early for...More

My favorite dish ever. We sat in the bar. It's an upscale place and we were not exactly dressed up but we still received the best service. Highly recommend

The food was wonderful and the service was great! It's in what used to be an mansion originally built when the city was founded. It has a long and a little spooky history!

Attended a corporate dinner here and was blown away by the quality. We did not dine on the main floor, but had full run of the upper level, including the balconies overlooking Jackson Square, with wonderful views. It's never easy to serve dozens of guests...More

I ate there last night and have to say I was underwhelmed with the service and food. I've been to Muriel's twice before and this is the first time I had a bad meal. The service was rushed an impersonal. The food was over fried...More

My mom, my sister and I chose Muriel's for Sunday brunch, complete with a jazz trio. We made reservations, were seated promptly, and had an excellent location to see and hear the jazz trio towards the middle to end of our meal. While the menu...More

Wonderful food, amazing service! This is a fancy restaurant--be prepared! The wait staff is beyond what I expected. I tried a Saint 75, a mimosa, the shrimp and goat cheese crepes (an appetizer I got as an entree), plus got to try with the table...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great

around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

Pretty lax, I would recommend at least a collared shirt or a button down (no sneakers) for a man, something nice, dress, or classy jeans and top for a women, no flip flops.

We did not find it loud, but moderate in noise level - a very nice place and noise did not distract

The Bistro at Muriel’s Jackson Square offers New Orleans classics like Gumbo, BBQ Shrimp, Oysters "Muriel", Turtle soup, Fried Gulf Shrimp Po-boy, Crabmeat Imperial, Shrimp Remoulade & contemporary Creole cuisine like Pecan Crusted Drum & Wood Grilled Tuna while the Courtyard Bar is the perfect place to drop by for drinks & appetizers. The Séance Lounge is the place for a relaxed, comfortable meeting before or after dining. Comprised of two areas, The Outer & The Inner Séance, the Séance also tells the story of a mystic & checkered past.
