I was excited to go to Tujague’s, after hearing about it on a tour. The service was great when we got there, before t then I started to be disappointed. First, the $4 brunch Bloody Mary is in a shirt glass, and not worth $4....More

I’m not sure this place faded or just never was very good. But in a city with such a glorious (and well-deserved) culinary reputation, strike this eatery from your list. My shrimp remoulade was very average. Being charitable, my drum entree was mediocre. The menu...More

Not much else I can say about this restaurant other than excellent service and food. You will not find a better place for New Orleans style food. This is a "must be on my foodie list" type of place.

My wife and I have been coming to Tujague's for 30 years and have never been disappointed. We love the ambiance and authenticity of the place and the food is always great to say nothing about the service.

Loved the atmosphere, which is more authentic and old-timey than the photos show, even with apothecary items on the wall. It reminded me of Old New Orleans, or Cuba! I think the menu is rather limited so order wisely. Have something uniquely Southern. You can...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty

around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

We do a traditional Pimm's Cup with Pimm's No. 1 and have been working on a variation known as the Petite Pimm's as well. Keep an eye out on our bar menu for the variation over the next few weeks!

Tujague's Restaurant is the second oldest, continually running restaurant in New Orleans. Established in 1856, this French Quarter institution has been serving traditional New Orleans cuisine to locals and visitors alike for more than 160 years. The restaurant began its long history by serving the hungry port workers from the Mississippi riverfront. Lore states that brunch originated here, as did the Grasshopper cocktail. Homages to the restaurant's long and colorful history abound within the interior of the building from the classic 19th century architecture to memorabilia on the walls. The menu features locally sourced ingredients in traditional preparations, melding French traditions with New Orleans fare and flare. Tujague's famous five course menu is still served nightly; but have no fear, the menu is no longer pre-fixe, so those less ravenous diners can join in too. If you want a quintessential New Orleans experience filled with history and local flare, Tujague's is your place.
