Although listed as a pricey restaurant, it is reasonable when compared to others. Great food, have very reasonable price wine. Steaks cooked perfectly and with very tasty bernaise sauce. recommended

My wife and I went to Dickie Brennan's to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we walked in to the time we left we received excellent service. The food was really good as well. I had their lobster special which I added on shrimp and...More

I managed to get last minute reservations for 3 on a Friday night, my last evening in the Crescent City with my delightful sisters. We were greeted by several gracious staff members and sat down to a lovely meal. Everything was all we hoped for...More

Following a recommendation by a friend, 4 of us had dinner. Ambience and atmosphere was stylish, pleasant mood music, and a staff that were very polished and attentive to every need. We had the several course meals, including filet cuts and fish. All were prepared...More

I loved this place... As food goes it was amazing. I loved my steak as well as my dessert... My only grip would be I had to wait a while for my drinks, that aside I would highly recommend... If I ever return to Nola...More

Having already enjoyed other Dickie Brennan restaurants (The Palace Cafe and Bourbon House), we chose the Steakhouse to celebrate our 35th anniversary. It was a good choice! I had one of the most tender steaks I’ve ever had melt in my mouth—nicely medium rare, so...More

We came here on a recommendation since we just became engaged the same day. The service was great but somehow there was some confusion and were given a happy birthday dessert? Either way the food was great. On the pricy side.

A local resident recommended that we try Dickie Brennan's. We all ordered steak entrees and were pleased. It was pricey, but the quality was there. We were too full for dessert but the options looked fantastic.

Entering from the street you decend into the dining room where service is great, atmosphere is relaxed and food is great. Steaks were perfect and wine was enjoyable and well presented.

Everything was excellent. Delicious petite fillet and ribeye steaks. Prices are comparable to other fine dining steakhouses ($30 and up). Sides are extra so be prepared if you want potatoes or veggies. $8.50 for sides. My husband had turtle soup and I had burrata and...More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts

The restaurant you are thinking of That is connected to the Astor Crowne Plaza is Bourbon House, which is our sister restaurant. We are a couple doors down at 716 Iberville so only a short walk from the Astor.

This restaurant is mainly a steak house. They do offer several seafood dishes and salads, but the majority of dishes contain meat.
