Found the Mona Lisa on trip advisor when searching for an Italian restaurant around the French Quarter. I visited with my fiancé and my mother. We all had pasta (I had the Mardi Gras which is sausage and shrimp linguini) and all of our dishes were delicious. For $14, you get a generous sized pasta as well as a starter... More

Nice Italian fare in quaint location in French quarters. Quite popular among the locals as queues started a little after 730 pm (Quite common with French q restaurants serving in small spaces). Host was nice and accommodated our stroller inside side door. They also offer seating on first come first served basis Only issue was they seem to have run... More

The walls of this restaurant are decorated with Mona Lisa paintings (Maggie Simpson Mona, Cat Mona, Steam Punk Mona, etc. ). Food was good. Place was busy and we didn't have a reservation so we had to wait a while for a table. I recommend calling ahead for a reservation.

After a very long day of walking, my sisters and I just wanted a comfortable place to sit and eat dinner. As we were trying to decide between two restaurants, a local came by and said she ate at Mona Lisa once a week, so we decided to go there. A wonderful little place, it reminded me of the little... We wanted to book this restaurant for the final night of our trip to New Orleans as we has been told it was good food at good value. We tried to make a reservation for 8 people via our concierge, only to be told they don't take bookings! 8 people wanting to spend money....mistake.....don't bother!

We try to go to New Orleans a couple of times a year, and each time we visit, our trip is not complete until we have enjoyed a meal at Mona Lisa. Charming atmosphere, friendly staff, and wonderful food along with a nice glass of wine really makes for a perfect dining experience. It is a great place to take... More

had a very nice bowl of primavera pasta, good wine, quaint ambiance, owner was hilarious. Pricing for pasta is a little high but you are in the french quarter, and it is a cute fun place to eat where you can draw on the table with crayons !! Or play hangman, or tictac toe...whatever tickles your fancy

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
